ferraris I've had the pleasure of meeting

Last Saturday May 27th was probably the best day of my life so far. A dream that I have had ever since I was a little kid finally came true. A good friend of mine named Tom asked me if I wanted to drive his Ferrari. Well of course I said yes! I drove it for about an hour on back roads and highways between Blanco and Austin Texas. I didn't go over 100mph because Tom takes it prettty easy on his cars and I didn't want to make him too nervous. The car felt great! It fit like a glove.

Although I have yet to actually ride in a Ferrari, I have had the chance to ride in a 550 Maranello...but couldn't take it because my free time was just about zilch at the time (I don't know if the offer is still on). So instead I'll try to excercise my grey matter, stretch my lexus nexus, if you will, and remember which Ferrari's I have come in contact with. I'll start with my first memory and go from there.

Where I live there isn't many Ferraris, I might have seen a blue testarossa, but I didn't quite get a look, so for contact I'm not sure if that counts. I also been next to an Enzo, and man that thing is small haha. It was beautiful, sadly it was a t a show and I couldn't get a ride in it. For those of you who have, I envy you.

Today I rode in a Challenge Stradale with the craziest 22 year old that I know. It was a very exciting ride!
I also rode in a new Maserati GranSport but I'll leave my list purely Ferrari.
The GranSport was a really nice car. Black on black with lots of carbon fiber.

i'm just about 19 now, and just last week had my first and so far only ferrari sitting/driving experience. it was a red F430 spyder. Beautiful. Got to drive it. Not very far, but for the first time i ever even got to put the door open on a ferrari, it rocks! Starting the engine was amazing!!! Will never forget it.

 

This seemed like the right thread to post up miscellaneous Ferrari pictures. Mine are all sort of old. I am a rookie, but I'm guessing my picture posting options are sort of limited as a non-subscriber. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'd be glad to post all these in a more conventional way.

The first series of pictures is from an event I attended sixteen years ago. It was called the “Ferrari vs. Porsche Lawn Party and fun Concours.” It was held at a place called the Montcrest Estate somewhere in the southern part of South Carolina. This was some sort of equestrian resort home for a Belgian Baron named Paul Pourbaix. It used to be sort of an annual thing, but I haven’t seen any evidence that they still hold the event. I think most of the participants came from the Atlanta area. I was active in PCA at the time, and that’s how I found out about it. Had a great time! If anyone else has ever heard of this, or attended, please post-up.

I'm 15, so very short list. Sat and rode in a F430 3 times. Hopefully I can add an Enzo, Zonda, Murcielago, EB110 and a few others to this list within a month or two (a friend of mine knows a guy having a garage with these cars)

 

I believe I have seen his garage in a video before. He didn't have a Zonda at the time though. Very cool collection! I hope you get to ride in all of them.

 

You're right, it's that garage. That friend of mine made that video. Now the owner isn't angry anymore I will get to that garage with that friend. But as soon as I have been there I will post pics and vids ofcourse
