I called Carobu Engineering in Costa Mesa yesterday to inquire about ignition systems that they offer. The gentleman I spoke with, Tate, recommended a setup made in Australia by Black Stallion. After doing a Google search, I see that Superformance UK carries the kit as well, and I'm wondering if anybody has first-hand experience with the setup? Looks very nice...

Here's the info I rec'd on the system:

If interested in this system, I can supply at a reasonable price. It is manifactured by a supplier in Australia for general use to all vehicles.

I looked at those before, although they only do them for 2v and I need one for a Qv, does anyone know of a suitable upgrade on a Qv

    Hi Aaron
Yes I have it fitted, simply brilliant (once you sort out the correct ignition curve).

Just installed Fchat sponsor Nick Forza's system, which is by Electromotive. It does away with distributor caps (yeah!) and is direct injected, has four coils... plus has waste spark to ensure full burn. The system did very well at Watkins Glen track this past weekend. The car here is an '85 Euro and no cats of course. i did notice a bit higher desire to rev at 3k up to 6.5k with settings of 10 advance and 25@3k rpm, -2 at 8k rpm. Set the rev limit to 8k for safety. Hope this helps.

FYI: am still tuning the system and plan to dyno tune her this spring as track season is pretty much over for 2006 here in New England :(
