cool man, it sounds like an interesting way to restore your car. makes it feel a little different by having the factory do it. sure, it will be expensive, but it's as close as we can get to having "factory new" 308s. hope it's a pleasurable experience for you.

Matteo, do you think they will give discount if let say we send more than one Ferrari kind of like a package deal?

    I doubt it.

My other option is, if it's too expensive for the factory to do it is to have the FoBH do the mechanical work, Fernando do the interior and Premier do the paint work.

That not really what I want to do however.

It would be a waste of money. I don't think for a second you'll actually go through with it.

I'm not impressed that you're announcing your intent to do it either.

I think putting new stuff on it and modding a 308 would be awesome, I've said that many times. Wouldn't make sense to do it in Italy though.

However I don't believe for a second that you are intending to fly the car to Italy to get it restored by the factory. You probably have to sell the car and need an alibi.

You are being deceitful. Stop trying to BS the board.

Funny how when you post, Darth refreshes his page to view your post.

    Seems funny to me.

Anyway, If I was planning on BS'ing or needing an alibi, I would not be posting everything now would I.

It's not like I am going to get the car fixed and then put a stop payment on my check.

Yes I think that will too plus you can see your car while its being done, you might want to take video or photos of before, during, and after the restoration just for future perssonal record.

I think it is a great idea. I will follow the thread. Matt has been very nice to me and helped me out with some parts. I don't know many people who would give you perfectly good parts for your car just to help you out. My QV and I greatly appreciate the parts. Thanks Matt and keep us posted.

I don't know what all the tension is about........mustu've missed something.

I have no idea what this would cost but I'm thinking you should check your furnace for a gas leak........lol

Matt, I wish you the best on your project but are we not talking $15k + just for the transportation. Then add on the Ferrari bonus and you will need to get a mortgage. I can't imagine Ferrari doing it right anyway. They barely answer the phone.

For example, I have been receiving automatic replies to a message I sent months ago. I think they have sent about 20 and every time I get one now I laugh. "Someone will respond shortly" is what it says.

Good luck....... I mean it...........and you're going to need it.

I have been thinking about this for awhile.

FNA has been pretty responsive. Like I said, I have no idea what it's going to cost and it will be a few days before I find that out.

It might not make since to do it. I have a price from Fernando, FoBH and Premier for the work to have it done local. If FNA is somewhat close, why not have them do it?

MY car is not an ebay beater and I have all the records from day 1. That's why I am doing the extra effort.

    Amen to that.

Matt...takes balls to send a car to Ferrari for a fix up.

They have a new classic program that fixes, sells and restores cars. With the push by Ferrari to have cars ceritifed, it make since to have them do the work since they need to sign off on it.

I am curious to see if it's close to the prices quoted by FoBH, Premier and Fernando.
