The other cars involved in the Phillip Island incident were NOT so lightly damaged sadly. I was a passenger in the poor yellow 246. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
my dino was that colour blue. sold it to roadmobiles and they painted it red. then millard bought it and screwed it up big time.
lost that copy, first one I ever bought ,if I remember correctly both cars were 2.4 litre and the Ferrari topped out at a higher speed but the porker was faster all the way up to 100mph they were also drag racing each other down Woodville Rd in the write up as well ??
Club breakfast run, mid 1980's in Melbourne. When was the last time you saw this many Boxers in one spot? Left to right: Peter Pless 512BB Rick Halgren 365BB Barry Jorgensen 365BB (now in England) Jim Newman 512BB Ian Maddern 365BB Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whats the go with different coloured "grills" on the bonnets PP? Was everyone just trying to be different from all the other Boxers?
Same breakfast run. In the "old days" Victoria was not riddled with speed cameras and revenue raising unmarked cop cars. Let's just say the pace was a lot quicker than today and on several occasions the Police turned up at the lunch venue looking for miscreants....... This is Max Lewis's S/N 20311 after he ran out of brakes over the top of Mt Macedon. Obviously a fibreglass car Image Unavailable, Please Login
the black one was painted by the previous owner. the others were the same colour. anodised aluminium i think.
Does that apply for the bottom black section also? Like the early 348's with the black lower panels. The later were painted red. Is that the same as the early and later Boxer's? Or was it a factory colour combo you could pick?

That's true. 275 special built by Les Miller in Sydney, prior to Prowse was owned by a guy called Blythe Richie (maybe Ritchie). Saw Bill Prowse a week or so ago, recoving from some surgery but progressing well. He's in his 80s. Very interesting guy, started Civil Aviation with Bib Stillwell.
From Qld concourse a few years ago, when Bevan still owned it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
