I have around 30 boxes of old car mags going back to the mid 1970's.
There are some real gems in there too. All packed away ready to move house soon.

This magazine has an article on John Maher's 275 GTB/4. Very interesting and has photo's taken outside his old engine building business.

Here are a couple of photos that I've just found. I took them in 1996 or 1997 during my first ever visit to the Fox Classic Car Collection. I believe the Testarossa was sold at the auction, and the F40 photo was taken in what was the on-site workshop, now demolished.

Ray's 195 Inter, I think I've posted earlier that it was a beatiful old car that I found very hard to drive smoothly. Very heavy steering and no real flywheel effect so dropped revs quickly and made it hard to match the revs for double de clutching. Still....that's how they used to be.

Btw, I'll find the time to post some old AFR rally pics....some are a real laugh!

The photo of it in this thread is what sparked my memory regarding the article.

Looking forward to those pics! :)

Hey Scott.. any idea of the serial number of the 328GTS at the motorshow?

It has a red grill, black horse and Vitaloni California mirrors!

    cheers,
    Greg

Sorry Greg, although I once owned a 328 I never really bothered with S/N numbers. If you are an FCA member you can purchase the register of cars with S/N's and engine numbers for known cars. In those days the importers were good with providing the details to the club, so the 328 list is extensive.
Carl Jones is a lot more dillegent than I and he may know the answer.

Ray did a great series of articles for the AFR magazine about the search for and restoration of that car. Lots of other gems of articles buried in the AFR archives as well I might add.
