7speed DSG is still only a rumour but a pretty strong rumour...997TT is 600+k without options if i recall correctly from the website. But the tip is so fast already...it's the normal non-turbo cars that should benefit significantly I think

 

yeap, not sure abt the 7DSG. Only saw a turbo parked there.

OK, the special deals now. 4 colours only, white, black, red & yellow. Black interior, semi-leather with alcantara centre seats (semi-electric), no sunroof, no xenon, normal hifi but PSM, 18", 325hp. S$380888 for the 3.6C2 tip & manual is just S$369888.

$425888 for the C2S tip & manual @ S$414888. The C2S, you get 19", bi-xenon, coloured calipers & 355hp.

Parking sensors @ $2007, rear wiper $1420!, sunroof $5336, PCCB $33042, X51 $50908, sports exhaust $7171. Anyway, there's 4pages of mind boggling list of options to empty your pocket

For a start, I think a C2S manual in white+aerokit @ S$10800 will be nice. Oh, maybe a sports exhaust & option P17=-20mm sports suspension with mech rear diff lock @ $6364. Hmmmm. Oh my coloured seat belts are S$1664 extra. Yucks!

 

Can I test drive the TT? U want to go with me next week. I don't know anyone there.

Hi, I left the documents @ home now but come'on, COE is just S$12K, doesn't matter too much isn't it? Let's see how the 996s go, few C4Ss on offer now & there's a few loaded, used 997s as well.

Fan-man, you got to do better than that, this hor & lei won't help you sell many fans & some words are better left in the locker before the moderator unplugs the power.

 

Make sure you drive the Scud....deffo get a testdrive, if you go there alone that is..

My two younger brothers take it out for 40km drives, every weekends. Wife doesn't drive manual, thank heavens for that, otherwise she'll take it out just to buy some roti aand back....Try telling the wife that a turbo has idiosyncracies like cooling downs and not for 2km journeys....

Coming back soon enuff and will be in 'acquisition mode' for a while before settling. You know the feeling, the 'hunt' is always exciting, until you got her in and TWO weeks later something sure will, without fail, goes wonky and you have to visit the Dottore. Kajang satay is so-called THE Satay of MY. Bigger than normal chunks....Fongsters fave, next to his ubiquitous BKT. The best MY BKT is located in Klang, although it's based on hearsay. I tak boleh makan Bak Kut Teh lah...

Michael's Bak Kut Teh is the best in KL. Its at Imbi but not the big restaurant. Its on the same row but further in. Ask for more straw mushrooms.

 

I find KL's Bak kut teh very different from ours, they put a lot of ingredients but hardly any pepper or herbs. Maybe it's the different dialect groups? Over here, we get the nice hot & spicy pepper in clear soup or the traditional dark soy source. I thought I saw an article recently that Bak Kut teh was invented by a Singapore Chinese Sinseh who added some herbs into the pork soup about a century ago? Some said it was the coolies who couldn't afford the expensive meat so Bak-kut was the cheapest delicacy they could afford then & they added spices to make it favourable. Anyway, I prefer the peppered version offered by the shop @ Havelock Rd.
