just a quick note who and what ferrari cars are coming to tassie next month and what is the itinery ,as i have holidays while everyone is here ,so would love to see the cars and if anyone needs help i work foe autobarn
Not going - too darn cold (I nearly froze my butt off in Burnie last Christmas day!). Concours in in Launceston Civic Square Mon 11 Sept. That's the only public event but if you wanted to see the cars on the road a good hint would be that the cars arrive in Tas on Sun 10. It's worth having a look - 75 or so Fcars in a line is a pretty awesome sight for any car person!
Sydney weather is great at the moment, but they keep saying rain is on the way.. Have fun in Tassie! Are you driving all the way down and back, similar to what you did when you got the car isnt it? Good on ya! ps: didnt want to clutter up the other thread.
the weather was fantastic today for the concour. tomorrow it's going to be equally good for the track! GO yellafella!
I think the Boags brewery was on the agenda for today, so they have a good excuse for poor lap times at Symmons tomorrow.
Hey guys, are the cars on display anywhere tonight? I would give my left testicle to take some photos of them!
Don't tempt me, its a beauty! Is there going to be a display around the Hobart area, or are you guys not returning to the South after tomorrow?
Not a fan of the locals? Just wanted to get some photos for my album and to share here, I took some of a friends Lotus 340R the other night which can be seen on this link: http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k12/rainey06au/dslr/lotus340r/ That type of thing.
ah that's mrhatmostly.... you must be the guy with the GT4. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=136043159#post136043159
Correct it is Jon's (mrhatmostly) car. Thought someone might recognise it! I drive a Toyota Celica (non GT-Four) and a Mitsubishi Starion. I have driven Jon's old GrpA GT-Four and I am actually the site administrator for www.grparallye.com so I'm a self confessed Celica nut even if the Starion seems to put more of a smile on my face, hehe. Woah, thats crazy that you posted a link to my thread on Boostcruising.com did you happen to put two and two together that I was also a member on here or was that just a big coincidence?
yeah i lurk around aussieelises... just in case i buy an elise sometime ( ) so i perve on the 340R's and Exige's that pop up there. i used to have a Cordia GSR, pretty fast car for $500 worth of japanese scrap metal
Your not wrong, my 21yo Starion still knows how do dish it out to some much younger and more modern cars. Jon's car will be on the market soon, are you interested in a 340R perhaps, something unique for Australia?
deathtraps. if they're anything like the cordia with it's power delivery it's a light-pole-seeker with wheels... 50hp @ 3,500rpm... 150hp @ 4,000rpm... gives one hell of a rush but make sure you're pointing straight when boost comes on. think i'm allergic to modern cars. i'd love something like that, the whole minimalist raw driving experience really appeals to me, but it's just too ugly for what it is. i'll wait around for the Atom to see how i fancy that in a year or two.
THANK YOU SO MUCH BEAMAPHILE. I was so disappointed thinking I had missed an opportunity to photograph them. I might organise the day off on Thursday then.
JM gets in the paper , amazing . they say cars are worth between 100K and 1 large . JM just made a profit
