Are you sure this is correct? I'm pretty sure Buffett just picked up a Cadillac (DTS I believe?) recently.

While some of it may be true...I think they are limited in explaining the fact that Gates has an extensive collection of cars. Paul Allen's 959 IS legal in the US after having gone through a DOT process.

Buffett did recently go from Ford to GM with the purchase of the Cadillac.

I know Larry Ellsion is a huge NSX fan. He has owned something like 7 different NSXs over the years, the most notable being a 1996 NSX-T, unique factory custom built car in Sebring Silver (not officially available in the US in 1996). Big NSX lover, he even talks about it in his book. I thought he still owned one, but I guess im wrong.

Gates is very good at living a very good lifestyle, with his $100 million mansion, fleet of cars, a couple of nice yatchs, stays in top-end hotels, and I believe he owns a top-of-line jet; but manages to be live it in a way that isn't flashy.

I wonder what Mark Cuban drives.

 

Thats a great find, i agree. However im sure when these guys arent being chauffered around in the company limos or car services (charged to the companies) that they have other cars they enjoy. The sources are the State licensings divisions. Their REAL CARS are registered to their companies or a subsidary (sp?). A paper trail that no one can track. Like Ashlee Simpson's multi-million dollar spread in CA. The paper trail on who really owns that house is a joke. Its what these people have to do for privacy these days.

Im a billionaire. Is my "everyday" driver a B4000 Mazda Pick up? Im sorry, but i dont think so. I also find it hard to believe some of these guys go out by themselves. When you are among the world's wealthiest people, you and your family are targets for all kinds of bad things to happen.

Im sure if Mr. Buffet is driving his Town Car, he has 2 bullet proof Tahoes around him. They might have left that part out.
