Okay, I haven't signed up either - and I am involved with the show. But I will probably turn in my form tomorrow.

My plan is to be there with a car and 2 bikes.

I might go. Why did they move it away from the wine fest?

I'm in. Prepare for the Pantera invasion! Last count I heard was around 35. We'll also have an extremely rare DeTomaso Longchamp GTS coming up from Austin.

Wow - a Longchamps. We saw one in Modena, Italy.

I'm not entering (I haven't recovered from last year's heatwave at the show!) but Rodney and I'll be there in the morning to see everyone. Then we're heading for a restaurant with Heavy-Duty A/C! LOL

I spoke with the Longchamp owner this evening and he definitely will be there. And this is a Longchamp GTS, of which I guess VERY few were built.

As to the heat at the show - we really hope it won't be that hot this year, but it doesn't look good does it? However, since we are on the lake, there will more of a breeze than you can get anywhere else. There will also be plenty of sponsor and entrant tents, as well as 11 covered picnic tables. And the Lone Star Lady will be docked on the lake for a hospitality lounge. So there will be plenty of places to get out of the sun. Having spent some time out there at our picnic and lately watering the grass, I must say that even when it is really hot it is not too bad if you get out of the sun some.

This time, can you all make sure the hospitality lounge stocks non-alcoholic drinks also?

I'm registered with tent space, but if it's going to be over 100 degrees I still won't go. I don't know why they don't make it a Fall thing, would be MUCH better!

Certainly over 100 would be extraordinarily hot. Weather.com shows the average high temperature for Sept. 9 to be 90 degrees. I understand your frustration with last year being hot. As an organizer, believe me, I cheer cooler weather!

The date for ICF was set originally to coincide with GrapeFest. In our first 3 years we were only 4 blocks away from that event . As you know we have moved ICF's Saturday show a little further away to the lake. BTW, the lake venue is considerably more comfortable on a hot day than elsewhere in town. But the point is this: with success in building the show's appeal we have many more options.

I invite you to not only to come to this year's show, but please become involved with putting our weekend together. It does not happen by accident. We have a committee of 8 that work harder than you can imagine and this year we will have over 40 volunteers. There is always a need for more help to develop ICF Weekend into the kind of exciting extravaganza all enthusiasts want.

Thanks for your input and please consider getting involved.

Probably because when you factor in the chances of rain, September is pretty low. There are of course other months with lower temperature averages, but the chance of rain goes up much more too. I'll take an event with heat and no rain that the other way around. Plus, hey, it's Texas, it's hot, suck it up.

So far, the ICF has always coincided with GrapeFest and they have been a big supporter of the show. There has been talk about moving it to a cooler time, but as stated above, the later we make it the more likely we are to get rained on. The general concensus has been that we are more likely to get the exotics out in the heat than we are in the rain.

We really want to have the best show possible with the largest number of SATISFIED entrants possible. We gladly accept feedback and suggestions for the show.

I'm registered and will be bringing the Alfa sedan. I am also signing up for the dinner banquet. The chance to hear Tom Tjaarda speak is to rare to pass up.

They have over 1500 rooms. Probably a good chance they have some available.
