Why are the C's not street legal? I've read that the only mods were seats, wing and windows, but then an eye witness claimed that a Challenge sounds meaner (which I guess makes him an ear witness). Did they remove the cats/mufflers?

If they made the windows out of Lexan or something that would eliminate street legality right there. Windows of cars these days have to be of that safety glass material.

And of course, if they axed the cats then I highly doubt they'd meet EPA requirements for emissions.

There are alot of changes to the car to "make" it a Challenge car. I recently got lucky on ebay and picked up a factory Challenge manual, a cool find.

It would be pretty extensive work to return the car to street specs, when finished you would still have no title and therefore no means of registering the car for street use.
