Correct. He designed 8 cars total for Ferrari during his tenure with Pininfarina. You are moving on up in this world!

After Fiat turned him down he went to the Po River. No pun intended. : )

From The Enzo Ferrari Story, an Autobiography:

"When I was eventually discharged, my colonel gave me a letter of introduction to Fiat, in Turin, so that I might apply to them for a job."

    and

"But it was an abortive interview. As Soria explained to me courteously, Fiat was not a sufficiently big concern to be able to take on all the ex-service men who were applying for jobs."

    and

"It was the winter of 1918-19 and, I well remember, a very cold one. I found myself out in the street again, my clothes feeling as though they were freezing to me. Crossing the Valentino Park, I brushed the snow off a bench and sat down. I was alone, my father and my brother were no more. Overcome by loneliness and despair, I wept. Many years later, in 1947, after Sommer had won the first postwar Turin Grand Prix with the 12-cylinder Ferrari, I went and sat on that same bench. The tears I shed that day, though, were of a very different kind!"

He never mentions anything about a river... Where'd you guys find that information...?

My source of information is from "Enzo Ferrari: A Life" by Richard Williams. Also, the park you mentioned is along the Po River.

As far as I know there is only one race that a Ferrari has won and specifically only one person died while six were injured. Plus I'll be gone for the rest of the day and needed a harder question to fill the void :D

Fair enough - can you tell us if the one person dead and six injured were all participants in the race, or if this might include track workers and/or spectators?

All injured were drivers, the one death was a mechanic.

I'm going to guess the 1948 running of the Mille Miglia, won by Biondetti in a Ferrari. Mario Bai, co-driver of a Maserati, was killed, and several drivers were injured (I don't know if the number was exactly SIX).

    I don't know, so total guess: 1955 750 Monza.

Maybe you should post these questions at a particular stated time, so everyone has a chance to get in at the beginning, not just depending on who is online at the right time to get in first.

Not a bad guess, but incorrect.

Very good point, and one that I contemplated myself. However, the bulk of FChat is in a variety of timezones, not too mention my schedule may not always allow a specified time to post. Perhaps next time around some of us could figure out set groundrules and such to have it a little more organized, as this game only lasts until Thursday.

By the way, Walter, I NEVER would have been able to answer Round 37 without your clue, and since it was me/myself who asked for the clue, maybe I don't deserve a full point on that one.

Please goto page 3, item #43 look at the picture

I just started reading this post today and to answer the question about the six pipes shown: on a V12 engine there are 6 cylinders per side. Each cylinder has its own exhaust pipe. If you were to look on the other side of the engine you would see the other 6 pipes.
