There has been a lot of activity regarding GT4's on the board recently. They are getting to be fairly rare birds.
I did a quick search and there hasn't been a GT4 photo thread in a very long time.

I thought it might be an interesting thread if we all posted a photo, year, & serial #.

    This is a series 1 car, 1975, #10128.

This is what it looked like when I bought it.

Right now though, it's in pieces while I fix:
-a worn 3rd gear syncro. (which is turning into  a complete gearbox rebuild)
    -Replace the rear suspension bushings
    -Fix the A/C condensor
-detail the engine and engine compartment
-And since I'm already there, I may replace the rod bearings too.

The 2nd pic is a 2nd In-class award it won in Reading, PA in the mid 80's.

Alex, I still love that color.
According to my records there were only 13 of them in the US in that color.
Thought you might want to know.

I have a question for all you gt4 experts. I own a 75 gt4, VIN 10832, should my car have the chromed prancing horse on the front rad grill below the bumper? tHanks Blaine.

I believe that the prancing horse on the front grill is not correct for the 75 Dino

The spoiler was on the car when I bought it. My understanding is that the spoiler was included as part of the package when the cars were "officially" (?) converted from Dino's to Ferrari's. If you go to Gerrit's Dino 308 GT4 page (www.dino308gt4.com) and look in the download section, you will find the file called Technical Bulletins. That file describes all of the various updates for the GT4, which included replacing the Dino badge with a Ferrari badge, altering the bumpers, revising the air conditioning, and so on. One of the additions was this front spoiler.

I presume this was added at the same time that the Ferrari badges were added to my car, but I am not entirely sure. FWIW, I have not seen any other local cars with the spoiler.

    Great choice of car.

Best bang for the buck. And perhaps (even) the best investment value at this time, IMHO.

    Just make sure that:

    a) you find a good one
    or
    b) you can restore it yourself

I think it's still too expensive to pay to have one restored. But that may change.

Easier said than done. There are so few nice unmolested ones out there anymore.
A lot of them have had pretty poor maintenance or have non-factory "improvements".
When I was looking it amazed me how many owners didn't even know the proper procedure for checking the oil in a GT4. Over 1/2 of the cars I looked at were a couple of quarts low just because the current owners had no idea how, or when, to check the oil.

I agree!! Best performance/appearance investment you can make on the GT4.
