just got back from 3 months in europe, starting in germany for the world cup. are there any updates on peoples feelings on the price of 360's and 355's and the direction they are likly to move in the future and at what rate. obviously down but has anything changed in the previous 3 months since i have been away.

    any advice much appreciated,
    thanks

All of the "production" models will continue to fall until the prices bunch up for the different models and condition and history become the differentiators- eg there is a small price spread for all the 308-328 models now.

The problem with the 355's will be finding a good example. Some of the early 360's are starting to look pretty worn out on inspection too.

    Prices? My estimated range:

    355's- $100k to circa $150k
    360's- $160k-$250k (except the CS)

In the other thread scud(The 6 year wait for F430 thread), you mentioned that the 360 is poor compared to the 430. How does your 360CS compare to the 430? :) Im not sure if you have been asked this here before. I would love to know what you think. :)

Yes they do. Ring up a dealer and tell them you have a 1995 red/tan coupe with 45000 km and see what they offer you. Then add $10-15k for max retail price.

just from a pax POV (ask dingo for the driver opinion of both  ) the CS is 'pointier' and a far more raw car despite the bank of electronica behind it, but sadly the F430 just rapes it in almost every way.

the F430 is the ultimate evolution of the 360 shape, it's just a pity they are so similar looking otherwise the CS would have been a special car for more than just a year or so.

    a 360 vs an F430 is like a 318i vs an ///M3.

    Ash is a Lambo driver....something I haven't done yet.

I've driven both the F430 and CS as Ash said and purely on the drive I'd pick the F430, but looks and exclusivity wise I'd want a CS. The F430 feels stronger down low and generally faster (not that I've taken either car to the limit). I can't compare handling as most of the driving I did was slow corners and straight line stuff.

Sound is interesting....after hearing the CS last year I swore it was the sweetest thing I'd ever heard. However hearing the F430 once the exhaust bypass valves open is magical, when we were going through town in 2nd gear i was just accelerating until they opened, off the gas till they closed, accelerated....you get the drift. :)
