So... there are three projects... - A Dino 246 modern version. - A Dino 246 Retro versio based in a F430 chassis. - A Dino 206SP "little sister" of the P4/5 based in a F430 chassis. BTW: Who made the request to think about the 206 sp????? Regards, Ernesto Freitas
One thing comes to my mind though! A 206 SP version based in a F430 chassis will be too much limited by that! Unless you don't use the side windows and windshield, the design will result in a very different style then the original one... Not bad, not good, but too different from the P4/5 style. Now lets see: The Dino 206sp was almost a perfect scaled down 330 P3/4 right? It's her "little sister"... So the obvious way to go, is to base the design in the P4/5... I don't say copy it and scale it down, but base all the drawings in it! So it's a little complicated to use the F430 chassis as a basis, unless you don't use the glass house as I said before... Ernesto
And who made the request??? Is there any possibility for one of these projects to see the day light??? Ernesto
Hello all, This design idea has come a long way since beginning. It is at a point where the ideas could be refined to work with an existing chassis or as a new platform. With that in mind, and in response to a request from Michael, I am put down some thoughts about starting to get the design to be real-world functional. I have experience in taking some wild concepts from paper to running car, so I hope the information is helpful. I include those ideas on a pdf, so i dont write a huge and boring reply. So I have heard through a reliable source that Ferrari is working on a front engine V8 road car, that may be called the Dino.
This is very interesting and very, very helpful! Thanks! I'll take some time later to read it intensively.
Ok... now another design! Here is my idea for the Dino 206SP! I know, I know... it looks like the P4/5... and the 206SP? Doesn't it look like the 330 P3/4??? Hope you like them! I really like the front details on this one Ernesto Those are parts that I would love to see on the new Dino...
Hello Ernesto, Your car look very nice, don't you think if you adjust some things (Doors, windscreen) to get the car more usable for everyday on the road, it's going to be perfect. Regards
Hello. Thank you very much for all of your comments... Probably some parts of the design need some more development, specially the rear, but I like the results so far! Ernesto
