Thanks for posting the links, great photos. I believe the mechanic closest to the camera is Ermanno Coughi, Niki Lauda's mechanic. He came to Ferrari from the Gulf/Wyer Racing Team.

Note the Plexiglas rear windshield on this 250LM. I think it was a later addition.

Renatone, Fantastico! When I started this thread this was exactly what I had in mind, people sharing their old photos. I went to my first F1 race in 1974 at Watkins Glen. My brother and I sat in the garage at night and talked to the mechanics from different teams while they got the cars ready for the next day. I met Reggazoni, who was very nice, and still keep a photo of him on my desk today. Very different times indeed.

Very different times! You are strongly right!
Can anybody imagine, nowadays, during a test session in Mugello Schummy, ...restfully ...ehm...thinking to his own problems ...like Niky did?!?

    Or

...to take a pic in the box to the super-secret Ferrari T gearbox ...open!!!

I asked this on the old forum a couple of years ago, so maybe it is time to ask again:

Does anyone have photos from Daytona 1967 of the NART Ferrari Dino 206S #28 driven by Peter Gregg, Maston Gregory, and Jo Schlesser? It didn't last very long. With reference to the previous inquiry, one kind person sent a photo of a Dino numbered 28 with a NART badge as it was ready to leave the factory for the US after reconditioning, but he was not sure it was the same car. The chassis no. of the Gregg-driven car seems to be in some doubt.

Car #28 at Daytona in 1967 was not a Dino but was 365P2/3 s/n 0838. At this time was was painted all white and known as the "White Elephant". See Photo #3 on my website from the David Castelhano Collection

    Jarrett,

I am somewhat embarassed. I have seen this photo on your site many times before, but without checking the records I assumed this car DNS. Interesting that in both wspr Race Results and Racing Sports Cars the #28 car is identified as a Dino 206S 008. It appears that for years I have been chasing photos of a car that did not exist.

Did you see the photos I sent you of my new model of 5149 at Sebring 1964?

I can add no more to Paul Creed's ID.................except to say that I saw that very Brabham-Climax (s/n F1-1-63) at the Goodwood Revival today.
