I got the exhaust from Daniel at Ricambi.
Got it installed by the Ferrari genious Eugenio (Nice Diablo) who slipped me into his schedule cause he knew how anxious I was to get it done. Eugenio is a true gentleman.
    For Anything Ferrari ===== www.eugeniosferrariservice.com =========

This short clip does absolutely NO JUSTICE for this exhaust system, it is absolutely PHENOMENAL sounding. Near zero resonance in the cabin at low speeds, and SCREAMS at high rpm's. The screams are a lower pitch one.
actually, gonna go drive it again.....

I HIGHLY recommend this brand X-Ost for anybody that wants their 348 to sound the way it was meant to sound.

This video does not do the system justice. It sounds superb.
i will get a moving video done at the next ********** meet or something

    Chris -

Eugenio's just sent me a very kind email about the X-OST that we sent out there, along with some terrific installation pictures. I'm attaching them here for everyone to see.

(Does Eugenio's take pictures like this for their clients? Very very nice touch! They seem really oriented toward customer service, and that's always a nice thing to hear.)

They didn't even have to remove the bumper! Those guys rock with their pictures, by the way.

Eugenio's is a top notch establishment.
It is a spotless shop, I was considering eating my lunch on the floor of the shop but I don't think he would have appreciated it.

But it is sooo clean you could....

My X-ost & hyper-flow's are on order from Dan.

    Hurry Dan!

Dr. G- Does it sound different with the Xost AND the H-F cats than vct's video-sound file?

Also anyone know what the weight savings is for the new exhaust system vs. the old one?

I Don't know the actual weight, but it was no prob carrying the x-ost system.
The factory exhaust was 2 pieces, ea piece was heavier than the x-ost.

John, my car has HF and X-OST. Sound clip is at www.putfile.com/ricambiamerica. The very last clip is my personal car with that setup.

I spoke to the folks in Maranello this morning. A pallet left there yesterday with TR's, 328's, and 550's. The load of 348's, Mondial, and 360's should leave on Tuesday. It's all coming Int'l Priority so it arrives quickly.

When the X-OST team left for the August holiday, I was, quite frankly, understocked here at Ricambi. It was a mistake on my part, and it won't happen again. In the preceding year, I sold so few of the "other brand" that I simply didn't know the demographics/footprint of muffler demand. Now, I think I've got it figured out, and see the requisite stocking levels.

The weight difference is pretty staggering. Here's the weight of a bubble wrapped 348 unit on my shipping scale: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135706025&postcount=30

    Dr.,

With my terribly low patience threshold, I could possibly kick a hole in the new silencer before I ever got the old one off. I'm an OK idea guy but an awful handyman:)

    Hi Dr. G,

The cats on Rachel have already been done so that's not an issue, TG (is that valid for "thank God"?), I can change ECUs, and a few other things too - - - - but INSTALL SOMETHING MAJOR?

Look at it this way - - having a fight with the lady? You can give me a call. As for my X-Ost, if Eugenio wasn't available - - expect a call from me. Talking about calls, what's your field?

    Cheers, Hank

    OK!

Just came back from a round trip to the VCR (65mi round trip). First time I have driven a distance with the new exhaust.
    Absolute 200% improvement from stock.
REsonance is non existant, no headache when I got home.
Sounds great from rev's to 1st gear launch, to 5th.

One would think I was the distributor for this exhaust I rant so much about.

In due time, the word will be out about this exhaust manufacturer.

PS: can't wait to hear Rachel with the new exhaust and hyper flows.

I would love to hear X-ost in person on a 355 and 360

Sorry for the long post. still kinda excited...

    ok, gonna go drive again
