Man, that makes me sad. The 550/575 is definitely the classiest modern Ferrari, maybe the classiest modern sports car. At least you got something else.

 

I hate you for buying a 997 Porsche Turbo when you could of had a 997 GT3.

 

Look at it this way - you made someone else VERY happy, as they drive their "new" 575.

You are right that the dealers are going to play games with the 599's! I was told at the recent Pebble Beach unveiling that it's sold out through the '08 M/Y, but for a $100,000.00 premium one could be made available much sooner.

Are they crazy?

Although, I used to live in Ohio and I know what it's like to have a week of rain, so I know what you're going through.

I only keep 1 weekend/fun car at a time now, and even then I don't get to drive her enough.

 

Do what you want and do what makes you happy...it's your life and money. Enjoy it.

My 2 cents...The 997 will bore you in less than 6 months if you are the car nut I think you are.

From what it sounds like, no one could ever hate you just for the collection of vehicles you have and have had in the past. I for one congratulate you on seeing that you simply didn't have room for the car in your collection and rather than having it languish undriven in your garage, you gave it a new chance at speeding down the roads in true Ferrari fashion. I probably would have been too selfish and kept it, even though I wasn't driving it.


So, once again, congrats to you my friend, I hope you enjoy your new 997 Turbo, it's a fantastic car. Also, I'm new here in case it wasn't obvious, and I too would like to see a few photos of your collection if you don't mind =)

I always thought that dealers only bought at wholesale. If thats the case, offer some of these beauties to the community before dumping them at the dealer. I always wanted a z8.....

Good choice imo, tide you over until the awesome 599 comes out, and yes, pcars can be a blast, I have two of them!

Amazing! Inevitable question: which one is your favorite?

 

Have you ever thought about adding some classics to your collection? All these techno-wonders are great, but what about a nice F40 or something?

 

You may be the luckiest man alive. What a collection!

I've toyed around with the notion of selling my 550, but have never found anything quite as sexy to replace it with. Just my opinion, but one of the most timeless Ferraris and sports cars in general, of all time.
I'm sure there are many that would argue that, but we are all entitled to our own opinions.
