"Life to me is the greatest of all games. The danger lies in treating it as a trivial game, a game to be taken lightly, and a game in which the rules don't matter much. The rules matter a great deal. The game has to be played fairly or it is no game at all. And even to win the game is not the chief end. The chief end is to win it honorably and splendidly." - Ernest Shackleton

    Still a fabulous video though!

Anyone know who the owner is as i believe they only made one in this colour. In fact are there not pictures of one in this colour with aftermarket wheels on it?

Ugh!! The wifes narration is killing me.

If that is truly the only one in that color, I saw it at Lamborghini Atlanta 6 or 8 weeks ago.

    When was the video made?

There are actually a total of 3 F1s painted quite similar to this F1 which is chassis #038.

Chassis #075 was the last road car produced and wore something close to this as it's original color with the unique name of Yquem. Chassis #038 was originally silver but was painted Candy Orange on it's refit when Dan purchased it. Finally chassis #073 was painted Kandy Orange Metallic on a refit as well. That F1 also wears the High Downforce Kit and has been fitted with an LM-spec engine.

This F1 is now on it's 3rd owner since Dan who sold the car in 2005. This was the F1 seen at SEMA on two occasions wearing a set of larger, polished, custom wheels. Apparently they were fitted just for the show as the car was in the Toyo Tire booth.

This was the F1 you saw, but these videos were made in early 2001 I believe. That's when Dan would have been collecting this car from the factory after purchasing it in late 2000.

Lamborghini Atlanta was selling the car for Bruce Weiner.

so are the wheels on Mr Wallace's car factory wheels? Or after market? They look like good quality ones, but i prefer factory originals.

They're forged OZ wheels with F1 center caps. I took a pic in April. I'll post it up soon.

I prefer the GTR Longtails the most, maybe Fina or Gulf livery.

For roadcar, chassis #036 by far. :D

that is a sweet looking f1! but let me put it this way, if i found one on the market, and someone repainted it hot pink, i would still buy the car, that is of course if i had the means, :)

now im probably being stupid here, but whats the difference between after market and wheels made by someone other than the factory, in this case OZ.Is it that after market, are all about bling whilst racing wheels are just that?

I don't think these wheels are special for the F1. They seem to be over the counter ordered and not one-off for McLaren only and no one else. I've seen many Audi S4s with the same exact wheels, but of course without the single nut option. You can request a single screw nut inplace of 4,5,6 (whatever you have) if the racing wheel manufacturer does it, which OZ definitely does. Offsets are nothing too special either.

  23. WOW...all I could think of was how he needs some professional driving instruction. He really really needs some professional driving coaching if he is going to continue to own and operate cars like this.

I'll do it for little or no charge just to help! Geez, that was bad. Don't mean to knock on anyone's feelings but having years of experience as both a private coach and pro-driver, watching that makes me nervous.
