Just a warning, I have booked 2 trips with Ferrari to watch F1 testing, they have cancelled both bookings with Me, the first time I was able to cancel My airline ticket, this time I can't and am forced to go to Italy to just "hang around" or loose $6000! on a first class ticket! Ferrari should think about what "customer care" is and start thinking about it's customers, because We're the reason They can afford to go racing!

That is bad...do they test less often, when winning?

It's not that they are not testing, it's that They don't want The Customer Care group there!

    Sorry..........

Have you explained your position and loss with them? Do they clearly understand the imposition on you?

Also, I don't understand why you have to eat the cost of tix if you haven't left yet. You should be able to move your trip with a small fee, no?

You can't get a credit on the airline ticket? IMO just use FF flyer miles for stuff like this so you're not out.

There is no way a first class ticket to Italy is only $6K, and there is no way a first class ticket is not refundable.

You may have had a seat in first class, but it can't be a first class ticket.

Thank you for the warning but it would be more effective to complain to Jean Todt than here?

(after 5 years here, still trying to get to 1000 posts :)

That's about right, but biz class is not first class!

    Sorry, business class.

Most American flagged carriers no longer have first to Europe. DL over AA back.

It's that section behind you... where workaholics sit and complain about everyone/everything.

(EDIT: Actually, on most big planes, us workaholics sit on the upper deck. If we tap our feet, it annoys you folks down there in the expensive seats)

On LH to Europe the first class is in the upper deck on the 747.

UAL still has 3 (First, Business and Econ) cabin service, Business is the upper deck on their 747s.

On some 747s, there is also business on the main deck behind first. I've only flown them first from PVG to SFO, their "bed" is two inches too short for me to get comfortable, I'll save the $2k and sit in business...

When I travelled heavily, I flew Swissair to Zurich many times a month. Upper deck service was pretty decent. They left me alone to sleep, which is worth the price of admission.

Air France leaves you alone, too. Not sure if it is on purpose...

Worst first/business class experience: American Airlines, Delta coming a close second.

Best experience: Virgin Upper Class by far. Only negative is they did not give the adults one of those nifty free back packs the kids get with the games and coloring books. LTU coach not bad.

Agreed. They used to serve ice cream in glass high-balls. Once, the cold ice cream must have cracked the glass, and I got a mouthfull of shards. No injury, but when I told the cabin attendent she replied "be more careful next time".

American Airlines blows goats. Frankly, they all blow goats. I cannot think of a single US-flagged carrier that is worth a pile of monkey poo. Between their incompentent management and bumbling TSA, it's a real pleasure to fly nowadays.

Maybe I've flown China Eastern, Air China, Shanghai Air, China Northern and Sechuan Air too many times to complain about Delta...
