    How come everyone one that does the high speed run always runs blank wheels?

    Smoother airflow over the wheels. Normal rims churn and tumble the air, these let it slide over more. You want as smooth and as slick a surface for the air to move over.

    Here’s two I got when I was talking to Amir a day later in California.

    He was telling me how it was deploying the arrester chute at 200+mph. You need to keep going fast to make sure the chute deploys, at the same time you definitely want to brake to drop speed.

    Anything less than a straight alignment between the car and chute (if the centerline of the chute is not pointing in the exact same direction of the car) will cause the F40 to become very sensitive to any inputs (like when oversteering).

    Admirable and quite scary.

    I washed my F-350 really well after being on the salt flats a few weeks ago for Speedweek and I still keep finding random chunks of salt in my driveway. The stuff gets everywhere!

    But the steel chassis and substructure does ;)........F40 = Modified 288 = modified 308 = modified 365bb = modified Dino 246gt, that dang heritage get's em every time :)
