And to find a good place to park the car... :D

@ Michaël: regarding the plates: it has already been discussed in here. Personally, I don't get the problem. Thousands of people have seen the license plates during the various meetings. If I see one on the road, I see the license plate too! It's not because I know the license plate that I know where the owner lives. Unfortunately ;)

So as long the owners won't complain to me about the license plate on THEIR car, I am not going to edit it.

    n/o ;):)

    Hello,

The problem is not so simple with the license plate.
It's not a problem to see the license plates during the various meeting.
The real problem is that most of owners don't want that the whole world know that they were in that place at this moment.
Nobody of them want to see "historic proof" of their presence somewhere and sometime on a public website.
I hope you 'll understand ;-)

Anyway...thank you all for your fabulous pictures...
Good job as usual Michael... ;-)

Yes I do have, and I know that the F430 Spyder belongs to you father.
( I think I saw you a few times with a yellow 308? but I was not sure if it was you. )

I always send a mailing to the members I know, but I don't have your parents in my list. Its because I can't speak French. ( To bad, because they look very friendly to me! We only just say Hello and Goodbye.) So feel free to PM me a Email address because the photobook is password protected. (Only for members)
About the resolution... I do have High resolution pics, but there not online.
    ( To save space )
Its possible to send a few, or make a professional print for you or your parents. ( I did that once for Edco )

    Thanks for the support!

Well, looks like a very nice event again, I’m sure it was nice to chat with the other members of the club again, share the passion and a nice day out while enjoying a meal along the way.
Nothing more relaxing then spent a day with friends who understand eachother.

But... sorry... and I know this may make me very unpopular with some people... one thing really bothers me about this kind of meetings...
Ok, I really understand that some owners don’t like others to know where they are, what they do, what they own,... on certain days... indeed, privacy is VERY important... certainly when you made it in life... or for various other reasons that come along with that succes.
And with the right connections it is indeed very easy to locate the adress an owner of a certain car... this can both be good or bad...

But tell me, why are the destinations that are chosen; often such places that happen to be very crowded? Belgian coast looks very popular lately. Town squares and turist atractions too. This way you can very easily bump into someone you know... a lot of people wil see the cars, the plates AND take pics... many of them will show up on the internet... nothing you can do about that....
I don’t see the point in going to places where you will be see (want to be seen?)... when you actually don’t want to be seen.... In that case it’s better to go to more quite, less crowded places, I’m sure you know there are many exellent high quality restaurants with discrete parking in the back. You can also stay at home or buy another Porsche :)
I know people who own Ferrari’s who share this thought... they love the car but for various reasons they don’t want the world to know what places they visit with the Ferrari... Of course everyone should respect that. Well, guess what, they love a drive out with friends... but they carefully pick their destinations and avoid the big spotlights... AND still enjoy their cars!

BTW, is it REALLY neccessary to park the cars along the walking promenade? Ok, it can be nice to see, great background for pics too... but if you did it once...
Personally I won’t complain about it, I like to see Ferrari’s as often as possible. But don’t you think people that are not into Ferrari’s, who searched for a parking spot to enjoy a walk near the beach will be a bit annoyed by this, in their eyes, “waiste” of space? The clichés of Ferrari owners being selfish or attention-sick will only get stronger by this... But I guess we don’t really care about that? All that matters are connections...

Oh well; just had to get this off of my chest... :)
Don’t get me wrong, great pics and great cars!
    Enjoy the passion!

    Regards, Alexander

You have the Ferrari-freaks and people just pass by..
Thats a whole diffrence, freaks lik to know the vin numbers plate number stuff like that... and than you have the 'im off for a walk on the beach' people.
They see about 30 Ferrari's and its like WOW!!!
I dont think they share the pics on the internet. They show it to the family and friends and thats the end of the story.

BTW this topic is not about platenumber, but about a event.
So dont fool around, we all know Ferrari onwer dont like to show there platenumber...

    End of the story!

With all respect, I'm sure you know there are also a lot of owners who don't care at all about "leaking" that kind of info :)
Personally I'm not that intrested in it but I do respect the hobby of some Telaio-freaks... euh enthuasiasts would be a better word... :) Off course I also respect the wish for privacy by some owners... I'm not showing many pics in public at all...
But hey, a Ferrari will always attract attention... wanted or unwanted... certainly if it's a parked in a crowded area...

You would be surprised to see what some people share on the internet these days...
I'm also convinced a lot of people won't be impressed by some expensive cars parked in a walking zone...

But you're right... this is a topic about an event... great cars, great pics, no offense,... :)

You are ALL right Axl !!!

The "Vlaamse vrienden" ONLY want to be seen !!
Believe me, I know ALOT of them, I drove with them for several meeting, and could not stand it anymore !
I know people who even own a F, for mainly to attend meetings like that, and who wants to be "part of this" what they think is a exclusive club. ...

The locatons are mostly always places where they can "be seen" (Les "place m'as tu vu ). This is really ridiculus,

I think it's ALL a cheap show !!!!! (mostly, the cheaper the Ferrari, the more show they have !)

I, (and I'm not alone as a Belgium Ferrari owner) just HATE the atmosphere of 99% of there stupid meetings

Yes, but NOT because I dislike most of the meetings of the "Vlaamse vrienden"

I know 'members' of the "Vlaamse" are not so set up with the "Belgio", ....but I think that's bullsh$t. (btw, most of them are also member of the 'Belgio')
I know the 'Belgio' is also not that good, but at least there meetings have some quality !

But ok, if somebody has a nice time (anywhere), so be it, if that's the way they enjoy their ownership, it's pretty sad (and cheap), but so be it !

I agree the Belgio meetings have more quality, like the circuit days, Castle runs but the Flemish Ferrari Friends is more like a Friends meeting.
They get together, eat en drink something, doing some chats, ofcourse doing a little ride. (You can also have fun without a castle visit.)
But I need to say that the Limburg meeting with the Friends was also very interesting.

I take photos for both clubs and I like them both.
BTW, lots of Ferrari owners are a member of both clubs.

So we are not gonna setting up a fight, its just what the onwer want to see on a Ferrari meeting. I think its good that there are 2 different type of clubs.

Are you comming up to the Castle run meeting..?

    Agreed completely.

At the end everybody will have a good time... I guess... only the style of the event is different... :)

BTW, there are owners who doesn't like to be associated with neither of the two largest clubs... they prefer "non-official" drive outs among friends... Some of them even thought to set up a club on their own for a while... I believe something like the FFOS f.e.

Sorry to further hi-jack this thread a bit but i just want to say that i completely agree with Alexander and Patriek on this subject!

I can understand Ferraridrivers want some privacy, but why do they then have to go to all this places where they will be seen by VERY much people???
On top of it, they have to park their cars where EVERYBODY will see them!
Don't get me wrong, i respect everyone, if that's the way they enjoy their cars, so be it, but please don't come and wank if some enthousiast (like Zwoemba) puts his pics he made, on fchat without editing the licenceplates!!!
What's the deal anyway? It's not that we make pics with the owner next to the car, we don't say which car is from which person! I'm not interested in that! I love Ferrari and like to see pics of them!
To go even further, if owners don't want people to see their licenceplates, then they have to cover them themselves if they park again at some crowded place!

I have to say that i used to have a very different idea from the Flemisch Ferrari friends, but i now can really understand why Patriek is so negative about them!
In my eyes a Ferrari isn't a showing off tool!
I don't say all the members are only interested in "to be seen", i know there are others who have the right "passione" :) ;)
To me the real pleasure of a Ferrari is to drive it,.... on a place where there are as less people or other cars as possible (the Belgian ardennes, some track,..)

Just my thoughts... no offence to anyone..

    Guy

@ Alex: the thought of something like the FFOS is very interesting, but i already told you that before ;)
