Are you buying Test Drive Unlimited? (X360)

I've already ordered it! Is it good?

 

YES! I have been waiting for this game for a long time. Before they kept pushing back the release date. Can't wait to get it.

 

I want to buy it but... I dont have a 360 yet. Soon though. I want Forza 2.

 

The Test Drive series has got to be the oldest running driving/racing franchise. I had the very first TD on a old floppy going on my Apple IIC back in the 80's!
I'm a sucker for racing games, so I'll probably buy it.

Ill get around to getting it one of these days. For now Im playing Saints Row.

 

How is that? It looks GTA-ish. I want to try Dead Rising soon too! Now that looks like a cool game.

I know someone that finished Dead Rising in 2 days, he said it wasn't much of a challenge.

 

I'll definitly buy it. I have been playing the online demo and the game is SWEET!

 

Hell yea I am buying it. I agree it is arcadish, but its not bad. Hard to find somthing worse to spend 40 bucks on anways. Buy with confidence.

I looked at the website, the Demos look SPECTACULAR. So much detail and the cars look just right
I hope they make something like this for the PC, does anybody know if there are plans?

Yeah,i played the demo and drive the 430 spyder and the sound and grafics are very nice¡¡¡

 

The pictures seem very 'plasticy' compared to Project Gotham 3

I played the online demo and wasnt impressed . Its beautiful but the car doesnt feel planted at all.

 

Yeah. The driving could be a LOT better.

P.S. It looks like I'll be getting tomorrow now. All the stores around here didn't get it because UPS didn't ship on Labor Day.

 

Saints Row is very GTA-ish. But the graphics and overall game play make up for the GTA-ishness. Its a long game, right now I finished the story line missions and im at around 30% done with around 20 hours of gameplay. Its probably around 50 - 60 hours of game play to finish the entire game to 100%.

Online play is awsome! there are four modes. Blinged out ride, protect the pimp, big ass chains, and your basic deathmatch type thing. The multiplayer isnt the strong part of Saints Row although.

Blinged out ride is where you have two teams with a car, you have to go to three differant locations, bling the car out and beat the other team to the final check point. The car blows up, you lose. You also can shoot the other team.

Protect the pimp is where one team starts out in the building with one person being the pimp. Wearing a big purple leapord print hat. The team has to escort the pimp (who has no weapons) out of the building. While the other team starts out on the out side and trys to kill the pimp.

Big Ass Chains is pretty much a free for all. Every player starts out with a chain, and when you kill a guy you pick up their chain. Who ever has the most chains at the end, or who lived wins the round.

Great characters and the AI is better then GTA. Saints Row is probably the closest game to GTA with out actually be GTA.

 

call from gamestop came this evening. They will have my copy on Wednesday the 6th. I have a dinner engagement tomorrow evening so it looks like it'll have to wait another day or so.

 

Thanks for the rundown. I'll have to give it a try. Right now I'm working through MLB 2K6, MotoGP, and Chromehounds. I need something new!
