Cool... who's the person to send it to PF???? Maybe Jim could do it Now he knows them very well, no? Ernesto
Michiel, Ernesto, I'm trying to work on 3D CAD models for your designs, but I haven't had much time at all this week and I can't quite get my mind around what some of the surfaces look like in 3D. I think I've made a small bit of headway, but we'll see. I will post some images next week when I have something worth showing.
new fast rough for the day....still based on the f430, but with a different side and front view air intake, Image Unavailable, Please Login
Michiel What happened to the yellow ferrari..., by the way, are we still on the F430 chassis? or are we moving into something else? I'm busy with work at the moment, that is why i'm still doing pen doodles, but hopefully I will have some time for better stuff..and a new interior.
Patience, my friend, patience. For the interiorspace it's best to use the F430 for reference. Please work on your rooflines, because people actually have to sit in it and must be able to look outside to all directions. And please don't make it too cabforward with its straight frontline like Lambo. Here is a new F430 based experiment. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like cab forward!!!!., but I understand your point.......very nice sketch, but toooo.retroooooo....
A more raked windscreen,or maybe more rounded were it meets the roof and it's perfect imho. ..kinda like this
Wow, I totally missed this thread!!!, I have just looked thought all the pages (mainly at the pictures) and I must say that your are all very talented!!!, Micheal these computer drawings are great!!, I really like the ones based on the F430, I definatley think that some vents are nessecary just to stick with the Dino's orignal design, Great work guys!!
Thanks, but I think that Michiel's Photoshop renderings make the big difference in this thread, but also some of the 3d stuff is really nice. We just need more time to develop our individual design proposals.......... back to work.
To get you started, here is the chassis from Velocityengineer. It looks like a V8 to me, but it is a very nice start. The additional pictures are reminders for what I think the Dino is all about. Let these ladies inspire you! I'd equate the first two ladies with tha P4,410sa,250GTO etc,the lightweight Dino would be closer to Vanessa Paradis, maybe even Helena Bonham Carter in my book , but each to their own.
It's mostly about the style of these women. Also take a good look at their dresses. Vanessa Paradis is good looking, but too girly and fragile. Helena Bonham Carter has too many sharp edges in her personality and looks. She looks a bit too malicious to me and not sensual and classy enough. Do you get what I mean? Also take a look again at the collages in post #439: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=135904357&postcount=439
Sorry to step away from beautiful women... I am includinig a quick write up i made to describe the process of car production from the design room on up, just to give an idea of what is involved. Of course most cars today are an evolution, or development of a current platform. But to come from a blank sheet of paper is an interesting struggle, and becoming more rare. Of course smaller companies like Ferrari have a quicker process, as the focus and amount of people involved is smaller in scope. But most of the same steps apply there as well. As for this FC Dino, I hope somebody produces some type of physical example of some of the lovely designs here. Ferrari has its own plans for future models, and a retro Dino isnt among them. That shouldnt stop somebody from going forward with a custom ala the P4/5. hope the write up proves interesting Cheers Eric Image Unavailable, Please Login
