While Townshend takes a break from his F.A.T. thread, I figured we could do an Enzo-based Ferrari Aptitude Test thread in the interim. Maybe I can even get dm_n_stuff to donate a 1:24 Enzo from the FerrariChatStuff.com store.

    So... Round One:

What is the serial number of the 348 Enzo test mule...?

Thoughout the development of the Enzo, three prototypes had been made. One for each major test area: speed and dynamics, weather and aero-testing. There were rumors that Ferrari built one extra for show purposes and insider press clips, but nothing officialy said. The M1, the M2 and the M3, #90865

    :)

I will come up with another contest after I get back from Vegas in a couple of weeks. BTW, that test mule sold for €195,000 at the Sotherbys Ferrari auction last year.

    Here's one for you:

Name the SN#, and the corrisponding color to each Enzo at the "Mondial de l'automobile" of Paris, in October 2002.

No, the name of that specific mock-up model... The one with the gray roof and the gray side skirts. It's not an actual running car, it's just a 1:1 model.

Maquette Enzo Ferrari. I've also seen it referenced as Maquette FX by Pininfarina. Could those be correct?

Edit: I edited this to add on the second reference of Maquette FX..

Is it just me or does the Enzo directly get its flat-topped steering wheel inspiration from the Rosso? That car was amazing! I was at the unveiling and my jaw dropped. I recall a few of the audience saying "build it!" And they could too. Even now. Just a few tweaks to the design and it would work. The only reason it didn't is because of its stripped out hot-rod interior. If it were a functional interior, Ferrari would have given the redesign and production a serious thought.

"Maquette" is what I was looking for, thank you.

Round 4: List at least three serial numbers of Enzos owned by members of FerrariChat who actually post (this means that lurkers don't count; the owners actually post here).

Yes. That's correct as far as I know. I heard it was called Maquette FX throughout Tokyo at its unveiling.

Round 5: In the dashboard of the Enzo, the screen that shows the driver mileage, trip speed and so forth is referred to as the "TFT display". What does "TFT" stand for...?
