Forget the 1/18 versions...here's what you need to have :-0

1/5 scale 36" long Ferrari FXX model. Weighs 40 lbs. Limited Edition. Fully detailed interior and engine bay, rubber tires, aluminum wheels, resin body. No opening parts as with most large models, this is not a toy it's a serious collector's piece. I have the prototype (showing below with no mirrors) and the production models will be available within a month or so. I am taking orders now. Price will be approximately CDN$5000 / US$4500...roughly 0.3% of the cost of the original, and 20% of the size.

Let me know if you are interested by emailing me at [email protected]
There will also be a slightly more detailed version available in 1/8 scale or 24" long. More info at http://www.collectorstudio.com/largemodels.htm

Why do you mention no mirrors? I didn't think the FXX had any mirrors.

    Cool model!

CS.com, looks nice! Do the doors open as well as the front and rear bonnets?

Correct, there are no mirrors on the actual FXX. There is a little fin on the roof for the rear-view camera, though.

I believe some FXX's have been spotted with and others without, as for an official explaination I don't think there is one.

CS.com, for reference, do you have any other pics with it next to some type of familiar object? It would be interesting to see the relative size of the FXX.

    Looks sweet! :)

Thanks for all of your comments. To give you an idea of the impressive scale of this model, you can see me below with an F430 model that is the same size.

Regarding the mirrors, a few cars had them on, I think in the end we will keep them off the model as the majority did not have them mounted.

This model is quite a bit more detailed, and also larger than the Aston you bought. You will love it!

My only suggestion is not to mention "Astons" on the FChat forum ;-0

Some FXX owners opted for mirrors, and they are standard Enzo mirrors. The rear view camera does take a bit of getting used to, but I think that Ferrari are going to be working more on this system.
