    I don't buy stuff on EBay often. When I do, I only buy stuff I can pay with PayPal because it's easy and fast. I just bought some stuff; clicked the PayPal payment method and it issued an eCheck which I guess takes 4-6 days to clear. WTF? Nothing has changed with my account status but it's no longer instant. I did a quick search on EBay and PayPal and can't find information about the change to this new vehicle. The cynical side of me says that Ebay is now tying up a bunch of money in "float" to make money with this new process.

    Can anybody give me a quick explanation or point me to a URL that explains? thanks.

    Sounds like it to me...........I have used Paypal once recently, and against all my better judgement...........but it was instant.

    I see no reason whatsoever for their service to even exist....none at all....
