We had the annual Fathers Day Show & Shine here yesterday. Was a really good turn out considering it was a very very hot day. My 348 won "Best Euro Car" category. Didnt have much competition though........it wasnt hard to beat a 1996 BMW M3. I won a trophy that is 'sculptured' by a local guy here, using car parts.
Here are pics of my winning 348.... I made the 4 posts with my brother and bought the yellow plastic chain. Posts painted red with yellow caps. Paint free, courtesy of work. $80 for 20metres of plastic chain!! I had to pay for the chain. We decided to put the chain around the car, to prevent everyone touching the car/leaning on it ect........, as they did last year. Especially little kids. I got a local sticker/sign shop to make the information sign/specs for the 348 at the front of the car. We made a bracket up on one of the stands to hold the sign up. I was getting yellow Ferrari balloons made, with the black Cavalino on them, to hand out to the kids, but they wouldnt have had them made in time, so I will do that next year.
