This may sound stupid but I alway wanted to ask while your driving your Ferrari or other exotic do you run into other exotics driving on the road?

    How often does it happen?

And another is do you often get challenged while driving your pride and joy?

What usualy happens when i meet other none ferrari exotics on the road, being it driving by or parked next to each other. Is that the other exotic driver usualy makes out that they havnt noticed the ferrari at the side of them:D:D
The Lambourghini drivers some times can be up there own backsides but some wave;) As for ferari drivers, there a funny bunch of buggers. Some give the wave some just havnt got the spirit and dont respond:(
I get most of my road challenges from the Jap boys, with the likes of Scubys and Skylines....oh an the Porsches boys are up for it:)

They are just crazy with testosterone I suppose........

I had one come up behind me down an off ramp... loose control at 110MPH or so...I went back to the main lanes and he skidded backwards 3 lanes wide after me, caving the RH door and nicking my LH side into the concrete median wall...

I stopped and politely inquired WTF he thought he was doing and he said:

"trying to miss that car..back there!"

I told him to go get his bumper, before someone else collected it....

    *sigh*

Today I was challenged by a supercharged Mustang 5.0 while im driving a Jeep Grand Wagoneer and im like WTF???. All I did was look at him once and he started reving his engine at the stoplight then when the light turns green he floors it and I wasn't even trying to race him. But I tell you the Ricer Blow by is funny as hell to watch espcially in person I witnessed 5 of them so far.

I swear man Mustang and Civic guys think they always got to prove something.

Most of them are just for fun - the kids in a rusted out cavalier barely able to idle. The young couple in an older Accord. The painter guy in a white van.

    they usually win :)

the serious ones - ***hetaboudit. Unless it's another 348 of course :D

A C5 corvette challange me this week (wed). I showed him enough to let him know not to bother, and he learned quickly! :D As an earlier poster said, Mustangs tend to be trouble. Guys on sport bike always seem to love my car. I get more thumbs up from them than any other.

Pantera what kind of car do you have? It's not in your profile so if you don't want to say then obviously you don't have to.

My friend had an old Toyota that was clearly falling apart, and we revved the engine at red lights at nice cars and motorcycles. We didn't even try to race, they would have slaughtered us like how Notre Dame slaughtered Penn State today, the main point was to make them laugh.

Around here they've erected concrete barriers in the median on all the freeways. If one is in the exotic, it's impossible to see over the barriers to the other side of the freeway, which really reduces the chance to 'spot' another exotic.

Usually the most interesting things I see when driving the Fcar is a viper or NSX, which are decidedly not exotics.

Not all Mustang driver's are asshats like you've mentioned... you can't put all of us in that stereotype ;) I learned that while there are some Ferrari owners that turn their nose up at you a lot of them are great, car loving guys like I am.

Always be leary of "stock" appearing Mustangs with "not-so-stock" sounding exhaust notes :D

I was once challenged at a light by a young guy in a panel truck (delivery truck). I gave a confused look followed by a chuckle... he responded, "No, I just want to hear your car as you take off!!" I learned something that day...

Not every kid revving his engine has "something to prove" or "excess testosterone"... some are just car enthusiasts who may be seeing their first Ferrari "in the wild" and desperately hoping to hear it at full song.

    However, with that said...

Unfortunately, trying to taunt us into a short burst, leaves us no way to distinguish them from an idiot who's liable to focus on "racing" us... which can be dangerous.

So, while I try to always assume the best of the kiddos, I still sit for an extra few seconds to let them take off a safe distance ahead.

I was challenged by a BMW 740iL today. We were cruising along minding our business when he blew by us at about 80 in a 40. So, I downshifted and stepped on it and got it up to 130 in no time. We blew by him. Then we slowed up and he went by us at about 110 (this was all in a 50mph zone). We started to go chase him down again but he put his arm out the window as if to signal us to slow (thought he may have seen a cop). We both pull up to the stop light and have a fun 2 minute conversation about cars...he told me he loved the F430. So, right before the light changed, he says "let's give 'em a run". We both stomp on the gas and give it all we had. The F430 was up to 100 in no time and he was looking at my tail lights. Nice guy though.

Well I believe that all brands of cars are gonna have there fairshare of bratz who think they are driving gods gift to the road and will always find something or someway to brag about how great there car is. I mean just look around on diffrent forums like the Lambo, Porsche, honda, Benz, and vette forums and you will find those people everywhere including here!. Then there are others that are true car people.

Its like I always get into it with the Honda Civic guys and im not even looking for trouble but for some reason or another they find me.

I remember when I saw two exotics at once for the first time, My heart almost fell out of my a$$ because I was looking at a very nice cherry red Dodge Viper RT-10 then in the distance a Blue Lamborghini Countach on the highway is just hauling ass and I came close to passing out.

The second time was an NSX driving by on my street and I almost got a picture of it and it drove off then a few milaseconds latter a Black Dodge Viper RT-10 comes driving by and I get the picture of that and Im jumping for joy the rest of the day.

The third time was with a Red Diablo that comes to a local autoshop down the street from where I live and it was parked there and there was a ZR-1 a few feet from the Diablo, I didn't notice the ZR-1 because it was hard to take my focus off the Diablo. Also there was a orange MR2 trying to get attention accrossed the street and there also a Civic doing highspeed passes.
