Schumi was the best hands down, and it will be hard to see him go, but at least Ferrari replaced him with someone who can somewhat fill his shoes. I have always believed that the unreliability of the McMerc has contributed to Kimi without a world championship. He's a great pilot, and I think that with the speed and reliability of the Ferrari's he might have his first WC next year.

Kimi is tough on machinery, thats his style.
He needs to change his Carma as well, perhaps go to church more often.
    I'm not kidding.
That said I believe him to be the fastest driver in the field by a good margin.

Kimi is good...but given the same support, Masa might prove to be faster...we'll see

Kimi had no choice but to make that statement based on the situation. I still think it was interesting that Massa's name appeared before Kimi's name for what that's worth. I still maintain that the hype on Kimi is overstated.

Bridgestone wil be the only tire in 2007. Ferrari is the most successful Bridgestone team. Even Flavio is concerned about this advantage. The Ferrari is one of the most reliable of all the F1 cars. We now have two of the three most important factors that will lead to a World Driving Championship in 2007.

The third factor is the driver. Kimi is an excellent driver, I do not think we have witnessed his true ability, McLaren is just not reliable. I do not think the demise of the McLarens in Kimi's hands were do to his driving style, but to him driving a piece of crap.

As for his lifestyle, I heard from some F1 insiders that much of his excess is because he is so depressed about his lack of success at McLaren. Have you noticed that in most of the current photos Kimi is actually smiling? I believe you will see a different Kimi in 2007, especially after he wins a few races.

Nevertheless, I do not think going to church has anything to do with karma, nor anyone's ability to win automobile races. Responsibility and honesty affect karma, while skill wins races.

    Look, Kimi has teeth:

    Massa faster than Kimi?

Sure, and maybe the Easter Bunny is real, too?

    Right on Ron.

BTW: what do you suppose Michael was saying to Kimmi during his anthem? Do you suppose it was something like 'ok, now don't f...... it up?" (joking!)

First of all, its spelled Karma. Second, Hindus don't go to church. A lot of very fine people subscribe to neither.

    Go Kimmi!

Now don't quote me on this, but I heard from a very unreliable source that Michael was telling Kimi not to forget that he was Michael's stitch. Or was it he was rich?

It rhymed with itch, I know that, I just can't remember exactly what it was at this moment.

    P.S. Is Earl a Hindu?

Like I mentioned in another thread, Michael said, "Say one word about Ferrari giving me the axe, and I'll shoot you!"

(disclaimer for the dyed in the wool/Schumy can do no wrong fanatics: That was a JOKE) :)

First of all its spelled Kimi...

lol jk but Kimi should walk with the championship next year, Alonso will not compete and the Renault drivers arn't strong enough (barring an amazing season by Hieki). The only issue will be if Felipe continually qualifies higher but either way I can't really see anything but a Ferrari 1-2

And if this engine freeze thing holds up? It might turn into another Ferrari domination with Kimi at the helm; now THAT would be cool!

Maybe if someone posted the question to F1 Racing magazine, they might sniff around and figure it out... (??)

I'm curiuos if Massa will now be forced to block for Kimi.

Almost: According to the new rules crafted in Monza, Massa will be following any car he wants so the driver of the lead car can be punished for blocking. :)

I believe it was the wise guy Cofucius who once said "stuff happens".
When it does Kimi is usually around. Whip out that bar of soap and clean up your Karma.
GTSguy; thanks for the spelling tips and religious lessons, no really.
