I hope someone will keep the cardiac paddles close at hand for every race because I'm sure Kimi has been dead for years. True he is a great driver but a robot has more personality. Will be interested to see how the passionate italians work with a the coldest of cold people.

He has life, for now he will be on a team that can help him win the World Driving Championship. McLaren was a dark cloud for Kimi.

I´m sure Italian passion will do good for Kimi, Once he is in the Ferrari Family I´m sure he will learn to behave as a family member of that family should.

I'm excited to see that Kimi is coming to Ferrari next season. Hopefully next season will show whether it's the car that keeps breaking, or if it's the driver that kept breaking it.

The guy is fast, period. To me he seems like a real person and not some actor. I'm sure he'll get a bit of coaching as a little personality helps the bottom line all around.

Kimi isn't that cold. That's the face the public sees. Behind closed doors he's quite the partier.

Cold? The dude parties like there's no tomorrow.

I say, WELCOME TO THE SCUDERIA !!! I'm happy as a lark. He's fast, he's talented, and he'll do well with Ferrari.

and he best take some pointers from MS on how to train and stay focused.

Ditch the parties Kimi and get down to biznass.

I think he will do well. It will be strange to see him in Ferrari colors.

I know a guy who hung out with Kimi back when he raced karts in Holland and he said that Kimi is a nerd, very self reserved and thinks only about driving. It's his life and passion. As long as he keeps up the brilliant driving I don't care about his personality.

And I think his personality suits him!

If he is that passionate about racing, then he made the right decision to come over to Ferrari. I think this will help him in a big way. He is a very good driver whether he is a nerd or not. Atleast he is a racing nerd.

I just wish he'd get off his Mika Hakkinen interview course, and look at some Marcus Gronholm interviews. Not all Finns have to speak english like jonny one-note or mumbles mckenny.

Unless he's been driving without his ear plugs, and he can't hear how he sounds after the race.

He has room to change...Schumacher himself seems to have embraced a more relaxed peronality as the years pass...no reason that Ice shouldn't too.

Mika, if you listened carefully, had a subtle, but great sense of humor. It seemed to me that he often was in a "wink, wink, nod, nod" mode, with a funny undercurrent always running around what he was saying. I remember watching several post-race interviews with MS and Mika, and it often looked like he was rolling his eyes at some of the things that MS was saying. In an odd way he was perhaps the funniest guy in F1. F1 Racing had several interesting interviews with him. I wish that he had come back into F1.

He was certainly more amusing than Kimi has been so far, although the photo posted above of MS and Kimi hopefully portends of a happier time for Kimi in the future with Ferrari.

If you can, catch the Mercedes Test Drive on SPEED. It was on recently and Mika is actually pretty funny.

i miss mika's characteristics very much. he's the best winner, and the best loser i've ever known. never opens his mouth for no reason like FA. he always lets his driving does his talking. a true gentleman on the track.

True enough. It was very subtle, though. But that uninflected one-note voice approach was pretty jarring.

I used to think it was something to do with Finns trying to speak english ... until Peugeot moved Marcus Gronholm from a 206 to a 307 rally car. Then we heard how passionately Finns can speak when they're annoyed. ;) (He's with Ford, this year.) But I never saw Marcus shoving a course worker.

But Schumi and Mika in identical cars -- now that would be something to see. (Maybe at a ROC event?)

There were times when Mika had me belly laughing (as well as the other two podium finishers!) during the press race conference.

And don't you remember that story that was published in F1 Racing about when Kimi was in the Maclaren limo in Monaco? He was hilarious!

I think Kimi has felt trapped at Mclaren and that's why he has never been much of a personality. He is now going to a team that he knows makes a winning car. I think they could be unstoppable. If you look at Kimi, the guy doesn't get caught up in being first, or tenth, he focuses on his race, which is exactly what Ferrari needs. He has the ability to do the impossible in a car, much like schumacher used to.

I can't say Kimi is going to win next year for sure, but I'm hoping and betting he will.

I am very interested to see what happens if Alonso takes second in the WDC. I feel like he is almost self-destructing. Last year he at least appeared to keep his cool, but now he seems to just be loosing control of himself. When you combine his recent actions, with the the typical reliability issues of mclaren, and the crazy speed of Ferrari, you can see how next year could be a bad one for the current Wold Champion.

Interesting point. He might be better if he wasn't carrying #1. With the championship to win, rather than to lose, he might be better off, given what's been showing of his personality of late. He's still a bit young for the pressure of a title defense.
