Chris, great to see somebody doing the repairs properly, normaly the new sills are welded straight over the old...and the rust returns in 6 months

 

My friend has exactly the same problem on his 90 Mondy T (although no wildlife in his), he had his sills done professionally like yours, would be interesting to know how much each one charged to do it on the same car

 

I think the Mondials look a lot more updated with the sills in red (see pics, I love the sideskirts on the one on the 2nd pic), my friend bought new sills from ferrari rather than bespoke, I think the cost was around £2k with a couple of very minor touching up bits done as well

Do you have any pictures of these Mondials with painted lower panels from the REAR? I am curious how the rear lower bumper pieces are painted in these. Namely, do they paint the plastic "grill" between the exhaust pipes body color or leave it black?

 

Heres two variants of the T if they are any help, the top one although has the "grill" black the lower valnces are red

Just another thought, you could always post one of these pics in the showroom section and ask if someone can Photoshop it to the colour you want to see

 

The work being done looks great, but wow! the cars with red sills! FANTASTIC!

Anyone have any info about the lowered suspension? Sources? I have a set of 355 rims I plan on fitting to mine - that pic just convinced me it is the right move, but I think it needs to be lowered just that little bit.

Hi Al, I got that pic from the ''Lets See All The Mondials'' thread, so its an owner from here, it does have a good stance and presence I think

 

It is puzzling how those furry creatures you refer to managed to get into your car's sills. When I took my Mondial out of winter storage last April, I noticed a smell inside that I thought could be a dead Mouse. My friend who owns the garage said not to worry; that it was probably some dampness plus moldy leather smell. But it never seemed to go away completely even after airing out the car. Then I decided to remove the center console to fix one of the rocker swtiches that controls the gas door release solenoid. As soon as I lifted out the console - the smell got strong and there down inside was a dead field mouse. I haven't figured out how it got in, but it couldn't get out.

 

I noticed on the rear of that gorgeous mondial T coupe is the insignia "cempetizione" or something like that...what is that model and reference..is that factory? A aftermarket tuner package?
also I am with big al..usually kind a conservative on the rims and dubs to these cars but I have to say those red mondials are quite striking!

 

The chap who had the car and did the work is called Steve, he used to be in the Foc but then he left, his website is still active myownferrari.co.uk, but the details are out of date, email address etc..., if I remember rightly he had the T lowered painted the sills to match got 360 rims and paid something like £400 for that ''Competizione'' badge which is an extra irrelevent to the Mondial range (found on certain 348's and others)

Only mod I could see were the wheels and the exhaust sounded nice

 

I guess not really "modified" so much as "painted"! The car in the video had its lower body pieces painted red. I definately don't like the entire grill around the exhaust painted red as on the car in the video. The one posted of the t with just the lower slat red looked MUCH better.
