    Say i wanted to search something

    It turns up a thread

    Is it then possible to pinpoint the posts with that word in question or do I need to troll through all the posts?

    If you have a PC just hit Control F and search for the same word you searched for. Thats what I do...

    If you use Advanced Search, you can pre-select the results to be shown as Posts rather than Threads. This works well if your search term is pretty selective/restrictive.
