I was thinking of purchasing a rear challege grill and installing it on my F360. It's a factory part. Can I install it myself? Any advice on installation? TIA

I'll make you a deal. Let me borrow the new grill for a day, and I'll install it for you for free. :)

    Here's the story:
My poor challenge grill is now seven years old. It is super faded. I took it off, buffed the crap out of it and reinstalled, but within two months, it had faded again. As they come from the factory powder coated, I want to re powder coat mine. However, I need to take a new one to the powder coating guy near where I work (Pleasanton) so he can do a color match. Have been trying to find someone with a car with a new grill and see if I could get him to drive to the powder coating guy with me, but if I had just the grill, it would be so easy.
We could get a pizza and put it in together at my house maybe?
    :)

Sounds like a match made in Heaven. Tuan, Mike is a really nice guy, so that sounds like a deal to me. By the way, you can pick up a new challenge grill from Ebay for about $1,000. PM me if you want more info and I'll give you the details.

They are not difficult to install. Takes about an hour and a half - take your time and don't rush it. Here is the link I used when I did mine (I also added a few tips). The write up Kevin provided is spot on:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104614

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the hardest job), it's about a 2 or 2.5. Not very difficult, just be careful not to scratch your paint.

I noticed at the last Santana Row that the challenge grill for the CS has larger holes than the one for the 360. Does anyone know if the CS rear challenge grill will fit on the 360?

Ramon, where were you when I needed a rear challenge grill? That's a great deal. Hey, I thought you said that you were coming to SR this past weekend.

    Ray,

I'll check my listings and let you know by posting the P/N's. I can't imagine there would be any difference!

BTW, that was a very good observation which I would not have noticed had you not pointed it out to me.

Ok, there is a difference in the grilles:

P/N for the standard challenge grille = 65919700
    P/N for challenge strdale = 65985900

There is a price for the CS grille 3X's what's stated for the standard challenge grille.

So, I have to investigate this further to confirm the reason for the price differential.

I would think the CS grille would emit considerably more heat.

Panels surrounding it appear to all be the same so fitment should not be a problem.

Good info greg - I bet the fit is the same, but you just never know :) The larger holes should allow more heat through all right. I think it looks a little more race also.

The CS grille was made in lower numbers the the non-CS grille. As well, F SpA does not like CS parts going on anything other then CS's so you will require a VIN to order a CS grille. Oh, and you will need to fill the two holes on the back where the CS badge goes.
