What do you want to do with the air from the scoop?

Nothing Clive they would just be cosmetic, its just both pics have fairly similar sideskirts and I think they complement and update it

Charles can you draw what you were on about, scan it and post it here, because I didn't fully understand the design.

Where can these be purchased and would they fit an 88 Cab? I have been looking for the right-side rocker panel and have not had any luck finding one. This would be even better and an upgrade at that. I appreciate any info you can provide.

I've been wondering about these rockers as well. I also find the insert between the tail lights interesting. Some type of a "challenge grill" might look good. Clive, any ideas?

I think I like the insert between the tail lights as well. A bit more modern looking, I think. Any idea where it came from? I am still on the fence about the side sills, part of me likes them, part thinks it is a bit too much. I do like the stock sills painted body color.

It was made I think by the people on the website address on the plate, although when I did a search the site was a bit vague.

Out of interest I will be making one similar (without the vent holes) in carbon fibre for mine, I will post pics when its done (now probably looking at next year)

The problem with the tail light insert is that the number plate needs moving and as a result it will not be illuminated and cause problems with the law if not resolved.

Shouldn't be a problem Clive as I will be changing the bumpers at some stage for later type Mondial or 348/355 (if anyone decides to make some as a retro fit), so I will have the number plate lower rather than recessed between the tailights.

Can you make the sideskirts out of interest, and a price please if yes

It is possible to create new mouldings for the existing upper body air intakes to change the shape slightly and do away with the fins. It is also possible to make add-on rocker panels, although I would make them a bit different to the ones in Pete’s pictures – probable flow them into wheel arch spats and add front and rear arch “mud-flaps” as balance. Similarly the tail-light "filler" is quite easy. I have a 1984 Mondial Cabriolet that I could use for these things.

My BIG problem is time. If you aren’t in a rush then no problem.

    Clive
PS. Pete I thought you wanted the car to LOOSE weight?

I do want to lose weight on the car, I would have thought that a pair of sideskirts would weigh about 5 kilos, the centre console I just removed weighed 3.6 kilos, so I can justify the two ;-)

the back panel I was going to make myslef from a long carbon fibre sheet and make a card template, so it would almost look like a challenge grill (but thats not what i'm trying to emulate)

Clive I should have also added, no time hurry at all, most things on the car won't be done until next year due to finances etc...

is there any chance you could photoshop a pic of what the sideskirts would look like with the 'mudflaps' added (also flared arches would be nice like the Sbarro pic enclosed)

One good area to loose weight is from the pop-up headlights. I would change these by replacing them with Perspex covered modern lights so the effect would be similar to the F512M.

Look I can do a full kit; skirts, arches, headlights, bumpers, boot spoiler, scoops, etc. but I feel that must finish the Z project first - unless someone can persuade me otherwise.

That sounds great, there wouldn't be any hurry so get your Z done, could you also do doors and wings as well, a rough ballpart figure would be great as well, give or take a few hundred £s

It is. I am in Tokyo at present but I have to chase the fuse box and other stuff as the fuse boxes will be needed (even by me) soon.

The picture of the red Mondial was made in Turin this sommer. The car was apparently on its way to a repair shop ( hope so... ) if not to the scrapyard, based upon various damages on the body panels , wind screen and tail lights. It looked to have be tuned also on the interior trim as well as outside. The only indication visible was a garage from a town in Switzerland .

I really like the sides of the silver car (or at least, some variant thereof) The red car's skirts are too angular for my taste. Also, unlike some other suggestions, I don't like any corresponding skirt / flap behind the wheel. I like it as-is..........Of course, my opnions may be due to the fact that the silver Mondial has big fat tires on it and has obviously been lowered.....the stance looks great!

I would have thought that the red one was lower from the pics, personally I prefer the red skirts, but then it might be the colour that makes it look a lot nicer

I'll do the wheel arches, air intake & rear spoiler some other time.
