I was on hand at the 2006 Historics when Ricardo Zonta set a new track record at Laguna. here is a little video from the event. Right click and "save as", play back from your hard disc (dont try and stream or progressive download these files, they are too high quality for that). I have to agree wholeheartedly. I was expecting in-car video. At the very least, they could've shown him going through the Corkscrew! Big disappointment. Looks like it was taken by some amateur who just happened to be in the pits with a camera.
Here's the in-car from Toyota: http://www.toyota.com/montereyhistoric/videos.html Gary P.S. Bear in mind the track is probably 1.5 - 2 sec faster now than when Ferrari ran their car, according to SCCA racers.
to each thier own. I was 1 person, with 1 camera. I got pit lane video, that no one else got, I got on track video , which no one else got. If there is any better coverage of it, I'd like to see it. Oh wait, there isnt... its an exclusive. the ONLY other video of it, in the world, is from Toyotas in car camera. It may suck, but its the its the best you get. you are welcome
amature? no. one camera? yes. I didnt have a production truck with 20 cameras around the track. you dont "happen" to be in the pit lane with an F1 car.
no worries. I'll give you this, its not my best camera work to date. I really could have used the steadicam while in the hot pits.
That is right brother - spoken like a true Ferrari Tifosi. Ferrari is still faster if they ran the new track config. Amen !!!
