I walk down to the Starbucks (sorry Dusty) many days around 2-3 p.m. On Friday's there are already cars there hanging out.
Hey guys, back when I had my 1961 conv. Cadillac I was a regular at bob's on a Friday night for 10 years. Cars start filling up the parking lot at 4:00- 4:30. Any time after that, you will be driving in circles to get a space. Forget parking right next to each other like at VCR. Also, be aware that this car show is 99.9% American classics, muscle cars and motorcycles. Very little if none in the way of Italian exotics. just to let you guys know.......have a great time. So you comin or what? We are gonna change this show for the better! (IMHO) muscle cars are cool, but they aint no oil leakin Italian
So we all want to park near eachother....but we'd need to get there at like....10am to secure that kind of parking. I love the idea of bringin' some spaghetti their way, but is this really feasible?
bob's has been the same since the 1950's and so has the crowd and the cars. you won't be changing bob's any time soon. Just to let you guys know, the crowd at bob's are old school car guys. Most of the guys there are gear heads and restore their own cars. They will appreciate your car for what the motor is capable of and the design but will not be impressed with the amount of money your car cost. So be cool and humble. Lee
Right Lee. That's after all the old guys with their flathead 32 Fords go home for a glass of warm milk and beddie-bye
I remember going there a few years ago with the 308, met some people that went to the same high school I did, John Burroughs in Burbank, everyone was friendly, but its not VCR. I can not believe I have been going to that Bobs for over 50 years, time flies by when you are having fun.
I go over there on occasion with the old GMC. Took the Boxer one time and an older gent with a sweet Mustang said I had a cute 308. A car crowd but not a very wide knowledge based car crowd. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was just over at the Bob's parking lot and there were probably about 25 spots available at 4:00 p.m. There's not much parking available due to the Bob's dinner crowd and the Starbucks. I'd get there early tomorrow. Have fun!
