I agree, the BirdCage75th is astonishing. A true "Buck Rogers Starfighter". At first it was intended to produce a very few of this stunning car but it seems Maserati doesn't have enough funds to release a road ready car. I saw a test at Goodwood (5th Gear, Top Gear ?) Can't remember but the guy said the car was quite undrivable... Bad sequential gearbox, no rear or side view, very poor front view. F...ed-up launch mode.
Too bad we won't see this jewel offered - to a "very" happy "very" few. This would have been one of the most beautiful car in the world.

"Alas poor BirdCage, I knew this car well Horatio..."

The Birdcage is a pure Pininfarina exercise. There are rumors that Maserati will make 3 MC12 chassis and drivetrains available to Pininfarina if they can find 3 buyers. Obviously very pricey undertaking especially if modifications making it more street friendly are undertaken.
For the record, Nick Mason who drove the car at Goodwood said it is "phenominal" and "wonderfully balanced".
