i'm owed money as well from others but they have nothing to do with here . try paddling a canoe with one oar , you'll get where i'm coming from i didn't buy them from a tyre dealer and when the opportunity to return the tyres to someone that would gladly use them was presented , i took that option . if i was told to get f>cked , i would of off loaded them in the porsche club as they have since decided to allow hoosiers on track days , something i don't agree with and has only resulted in people buying more tyres to not go any faster . the times since hoosiers were introduced are still slower than my times last year . to go a second faster would of been easier and cheaper with driver training for a day err that's what i did don't confuse the issue john , stay with the facts

I was atad shocked by the person named... Maybe he paid off to win the BATR title as well??? Anyway now that he has been named, what has he done/said about getting the money back? or u not expecting to see the money? Is he having financial difficulties, or just doesnt want to pay up? Why hasnt he come online to defend his honour? Was it really worth $2k to be named? Is there something Scud isnt telling us? The plot thickens...

Wrong. This is a discussion/forum. If you dont want to know dont read the thread simple. Noone is FORCING you to read the thread. You are happy to give your 5cents to every other thread that may have nothing to do with you, why is this any different?? If the 2 ppl DONT want to answer the questions, then they have the right to ignore them. If anything you should go away if you have nothing constructive to add.
or, when Moretti becomes the new moderator for the Aussie section, he can just start deleting the junk and banning people.
i'm not taking sides, nor am i commenting on the financial transaction mentioned in the thread, i'm just saying that once we have moderators on this site again, (360c and SS haven't been keen on the job for a little while now) then they will be able to decide what is and isn't relevant. and as such, we will all have to start playing by the rules again - like it or not.
i don't think anything that's in this thread should have been deleted, nor should anyone be banned for anything that i've read in here (fchat)...EVER..but that's just me. regardless, i think this thread was in poor taste...but that's just my opinion. scud can do and say as he likes, as far as i'm concerned...and so can FF...and me...and anyone else. (although i'm not too keen on physical violence...and that's illegal anyway)

no you've got it WRONG!!! this is an open forum and you can't go around asking people what their financial position is or any other personal questions, it's called common decency and privacy Just because they do it "on the internet" in other forums doesn't mean it is right, the Yanks think it is smart outing people and slagging them off all over the 'Net when in fact it is poor form and an act of rudeness especially if the parties make up and continue to do business at a later date ... it happens more often than not ! Speedy, I think your an ok guy but you need to look at the bigger picture sometimes as somewhere down the track things get very grey and you can find yourself interacting with the people you are inadvertently giving a hard time now.
Im not taking sides either and hope this gets resolved soon but the thing is, the person in question is a said MOD(just checked and it still states mod). Now see that is the confusing part, if I was in his position, I would of deleted this thread and do everything in my mod power to make sure Scud would remain silent ( ) Even if he lost his powers he still has the option of reporting this thread to another mod to review, he hasnt done that either... That doesnt raise alarm bells? Maybe he is having family/money issues, but keeping everyone in the dark isnt helping.(im not suggesting he tell us his issues in details).
Correct, but (and there's ALWAYS a 'but' when it comes to legal stuff) the distinction between libel and slander has now been abolished in Australia under the uniform defamation acts (for eg, under s. 7 of the Vic Defamation Act). Now the complaint is simply that of defamation, and is treated how libel was treated under the old law (i.e. no need to prove damage/harm, c.f. slander where the plaintiff did have to prove damage/harm).
this thread is not a finger pointing exercise . it was raised after feeling like there was no other way of persuasion . i felt a little lost from a person i regarded as a friend ( still do ) after waiting 4 months , maybe another 12 months of waiting should of past before this thread ?????. another fchatter sent me a PM telling me his was out of pocket $220 for the 4 dinners that were booked in alice springs for the monday night that me and my 3 mates didn't attended as we decided to leave monday and the hotel wouldn't cancel the booking . i apologised to him even though i wasn't aware of the bill and EFT'd the money straight away . he felt like a scrooge over a lazy $220 but it's not the $ amount that is the point . i haven't even told him that one of the guys was always going to leave on the monday and that he booked one too many for no reason . i would think 3k would be fixed up pronto
Hey Toe But what business it is it of ours? I don't see that Stephens owes us any explanation, and may turn this into a pp/ff style tit-for-tat thread. If Stephens is having a hard time at the moment, I hope all parties come out of it ok... I'd hate to be in that position.
