For insurance - call your broker. As to maintenance, the Porsche will be a lot cheaper. It won't be as much fun though :)

Plan on spending $3-5000 a year on maintinance

Insuance for a 22 year old and a Ferrari is going to be a rip off.

Im assuming you will be financing? I would ask BlackGallardo about
how that goes without a strong credit/income history...

No..Buying out cash..seen a couple on autotrader for under 65k..im mixed between ferrari, porsche, and lambo...Lambo I def know will be too expensive as for me being young..a porsche I would want to modify it too much..a Ferrari tint windows and "maybe" aftermarket wheels and im set!

I started the policy on my 99 355 GTB when I was 21 and it's currently at $1,398 every 6 months.

Oops forgot to mention that it's with Progressive, purely because they only consider speeding tickets within the last 3 years as opposed to 5 with most other companies :)

I own a 911 & 355. The Insurance is Exactly the same.I have a 7,500 Annual Mileage Limit through State Farm. The 355 will me more Expensive to Own,unless you have Found 1 with New Headers,Cats,Interior etc.The F-Car is still MUCH more Enjoyable to Drive though.

Insurance for 348 Spider with 3 other cars - $1100 for Ferrari with $1000 deductable (nothing lower offered), 7500 miles per year limit (never got close) and $70K stated value. Liberty Mutual; they will not insure Ferraris unless u are an existing customer with history. BTW, AAA will not touch exotics.

Maintenance (basic) should not cost more than about $1200 per year except for every 5 years when u do belts. Then it ranges, but figure about $4K. Extra items can add up, but I have no idea what to expect on that front.

Someone should start and insurance thread.

The porche's have way cheaper insurance and the maintenance on them is alot easier than on a F. My name is mateo and i from exotic cars at ceasers palace. Buddy...i got a 96' 993 turbo for 84,500. As for the ferrari's i got 2 360 spyders and they both run a little for 200,000. Let me know what you think, thanks.
