Jon, cannot lah, you know me, I liek to drive my cars everywhere and anytime, my recent fender bender really got me thinking, esp now I spend so much more time in singapore.
I think it was somewhere near Boon Keng. His car was most likely marked & it was one owner since new. Actually, I don't think it would be expensive especially on the voice system. It's the maintenance of elevator that will be killer & as I said Malaysia, we can get some engineer to work out something for a good deal. Well land in certain part is so cheap you can even have a private circuit if you're wealthy & a 15Ksqft land is good for a bungalow+nice garage for few cars.
Now, I wonder how do those owners insure their GTOs or multi-million dollar cars. I guess a few premiums will pay for some new Jap makes. I was following the British Ambassador's Jag XJ8L in black with the Union jack flipping in front & my, what a showstopper. Got to take care not to kiss the rear & I noticed the rear windscreen is tiny like a Phantom, must have been a special order.
Hehee, how about using a TR to lawn the garden? Wait, no power steering.....better not. You going KL tomorrow? I might go up. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ha ha, my friend, fighting with insurance is not a hobby of mine but I have had some skirmishes and am happy to share experiences. They have won some rounds and I have won some as well. I think I did discuss determining the value of a one of a kind car in Singapore but I guess you feel that your best argument with your insurers at the moment is to say that their value is wrong because your car is one of a kind, and that's the argument you will hang onto for as long as possible. If insurers sold you a comprehensive policy then they would have to pay but its based on the terms you agreed to and that includes the option to pay you as if it was a total loss rather than to repair. If you had asked them not to include this term then they might not have insured you at all for comprehensive. In which case there is no issue since its only third party. Let me ask you this. It sounds like your insurers are still surveying the car but once their valuation is out, and if you feel that their valuation is wrong, then how do you think your car should be valued ?
I am happy with anything that is more than paper value. A certain "X" value on my body. I dont want to pay $5000 this year for a permium on a car on which they determine loss value of $10,000. I mgiht as well not insure it. Of cuz if I choose to do that, then it begets a whole new world of legal issues.

Yup... I also want to see... haven't seen it yet... all hear say from installer. Your cam angle is 90 degrees. This one is 120 degrees. Resolution is suppose (suppose!) to be the same as urs. But constrast suppose to be better. Who knows till we see it ourselves. May only install it in December no time. Driving car almost everyday.
Was at the Maserati owners dinner tonight. Very nice. Food was pretty good I thought. It was at the Italian restaurant at Keppel Club.
Hmm...there are quite a few events for the last few days... The Maserati private event which showcase the QP, GranSport Spyder and the MC Victory. Then the sneak preview of Miami Vice for some F430 owner and also the Millionaire's Summit which has a special highlight of testing drive the Range Rover Sport.
you mean the sneak preview like in the tickets that lung got? wasn't the screening on opening day? only less than 5 mins of the F430 driven fast? mann, that is disappointing . but there was a white RR in there too, right? saw 2 really nice porsches outside my new workplace.. a silver 911 carrera and a red one, not sure which model it is but i think could be a 911 GT3.
some cars that may go on sale in Singapore shortly : Its the oddball Japanese Brand called Mitsuoka; actually of the cars on this page, the only one likely to be on sale is the green one which is a cross between a nissan march and a jaguar Mk II !! That's their top seller btw. Good luck to the dealers (Advance Automobiles) but I guess some singaporeans will want one. As for the black and white cars, they are based on the NSX. Not sure about the League of Ex Gentlemen mobile. White car (orochi nude concept is not too bad I think) As for black car (original orochi concept 2001) the back grille and C pillars look suspiciously Enzoesque except that it pre-dates the Enzo. After some grotesque Japanese....I'd much still prefer some fine old Italian http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Countach/CountachLP400S/1121328.html Now putting that in the living room is a pleasing sight but wife may want to use the wing as a coffe table once a while I thought the Orochi nude is a concept car? but if it becomes production & someone buys & use it here. It would be interesting.
Hey SF, Happy Belated Birthday to u... Its really encouraging from the words.. probably i would need at least 3 years of working hard to realise my ferrari goal... hope we all are still keeping in touch by then..(",) then could join u guys.. Saw a red 430 thurs nite near ZOuk plate 378, is that belongs to one of u guys'? also saw two yellow murcie at Zouk carpark, one royal bro, the other one (more intimidating looking plate 54) duno whose..... nowadays hardly see any 360s on the road ya, where have they gone to ? Exported out? Watch the miami vice already, the blue flames out from the exhausts of the 430 looks incredible...
