FOM agreed to a GP in south Korea in 2010. My questions, will FOM increase the schedule from the 16 (or is it 17?) races now to include Russia, Mexico, a second USGP, possibly Greece, and South Korea? Or will they eliminate some of the traditional tracks used now?

It would be blasphemy to eliminate Silverstone. Almost as bad as not racing a Monza. Not a perfect track, but a driver favorite.

With Interlagos being the only South American venue at this time, I doubt if that goes unless Brazil builds a new facility.

Personally, I find Silverstone a boring track, for drivers (I raced there) and spectators. It started as an airfield, so it's flat with no feature.
Monza I like, but for Goodness' sake, can't they sort out the first chicane once and for all?

I think that Ecclestone is looking for 18 GPs next year. Probably why Turkey kept its GP, in spite of a large fine, and South Korea is coming on.

We won't have 2 GPs in Germany or Spain anymore, and Imola (San Marino GP) is uncertain.

In an old issue of Autosport (I don't keep them) there was an article about F1 in 2010 and projected schedule. The only thing that caught my attention was the listing for two US GP's - USGP East and USGP West. We all know how things come and go so I don't know the true validity of that article.

Silverstone is by far the worst facility on the F1 calendar!
Cherish the memories of the past, dont live in it!

Interlagos is an absolute disgrace. Why should there be a race there when other countries have much better facilities and are willing to send more money to make everyone welcome!? Airports/ Hotels/ Entertainment/ Road network/ Access to communication... these play an important roll in the over experience of a person attending the race.
