    hi everybody,

Well its almost impossible to get an f430 in the USA and pretty hard in Europe as well, but for some reason there a hundreds of them in Dubai sitting in dealer showrooms, I was there on business last month and I checked out a few high end car dealers. Some F430s had zero kms for around $210,000 which is not bad compared to the prices in the states. Well anyway this one dealer claimed that he sold many F430s to American buyers, he made it sound easy but I’m sure there are many differences between the Dubai spec and the rest of the world, anybody with knowledge of this care to enlighten us?

Anyway guys it would be cool to get on a plane and buy an f430 of the bat for 200k and no WAITING LISTS!!

I already have an f430, but for some of you first time Ferrari buyers, this might be a good alternative.

i'm from Dubai, and there are tons of US specs and Euro specs 430's for sale, coupes and spiders
the steering wheel is on the left just like any US car
there is international warranty on ALL cars too

US spec cars are a bit harder to get than Euro specs
if anyone would like some help or advice here, and where to get, i'd be happy to help fishing for one

Oh, and there aren't any difference between Dubai spec and US spec, because there is no Dubai spec, all the available one's are US and Euro

What are the differences in specification for a 430 in USA and in Europe?
    Are the cars very different?

I don't understand why there are sitting in Dubai unless it is to keep the supply in US down and keep the prices up in the US.
    It doesn't make sense.

I'm not 100% sure this is the case. In the USA, warranties are serviced and paid for by Ferrari North America, which is a separate entity from Ferrari, Spa. I'm fairly sure that FNA has no interest or willingness to pay for issues relating to cars that it did not import/its dealers benefit from.

I'd double-check that with FNA before importing a car from Dubai and hoping to get warranty service here in the USA...

I understand that the situation maybe different in the US, but warranties here in the Gulf are paid for by Ferrari Spa.

They are sitting in Dubai because Gulf customers buy lots of them and either get bored or change their minds. Also because there is such an appetite there for exotics (i.e. people with too much money to throw around), dealers likely over-import (not a terribly common thing with Ferraris, I would think, but still...)

My 2001 360 spider was delivered in Dubai with US specs...Sent to the US in 02 there were no problems with warranty here in the US. Just the same as if you bought a US spec car but took european delivery. And then flew it home after driving through europe.

I actually grew up in Dubai and secretly hoped that I could have an excuse to go over and buy a Ferrari (360 more likely than a 430) and that it would come out cheaper by the time I got it back to the US. I just had kind of assumed that if this was feasible everyone would be doing it. Is this an issue of actually getting the cars cheaper or just that you wouldn't have to wait for a 430?

Whether they are US spec or not US spec I'm sure there would be paperwork hurdles importing them. Every US Ferrari has to come through Ferrari of North America. If it doesn't it falls into the gray market category. I know the cars destined for the UAE carry the letter "A" in their vins which coincides with the vin designation for US spec cars but I think that is where the similarity ends. You'd have to find out what kind of paperwork they come with in order to acquire a title.

there are few 360's, but i'm not sure if you would consider them cheap or not
let me give you an example and you decide
    a 2003 360 F1 with around 20,000km would be around 110k
we consider that over priced here
    what do you think?

oh and its the same story too, there are US and Euro specs

Well that would mean that a 6speed 00-01 with similar miles should be below the $100k mark... interesting.

I wonder what it would cost to bring one over the federalize.

hahahahaa...that red with red interior is my car....i bought it before 6 months but its still there because its still for sale and it has around 7,000km now, i posted a pic of it in the F430 pictures topic dont remember which page
you guys love black with black interior, over here, black interior is the LEAST wanted color, RED interior is the most preferable
still, there are a couple 430's with black interior, 2005 models

I'm headed to Dubai and do NOT have a 430 spider.

does anyone know how I can find out what the REAL deal is? i.e. importing. warranty, time, risks...all the normal questions.

    thanks, and i'm serious.
