Has anyone ever tried the spray on and wash off bra product made by Duplicolor. Saw it at Pepboys today and was curious. Looks like a good idea, but................???

    From their website.

Shield, from Dupli-Color, provides temporary spray-on protection for your vehicle where bugs and road grime can do damage. It’s ideal for the front end, rear quarter panel and rocker panels. Spray on Shield as a temporary bra for long road trips, quick mud flaps or as a bug guard. Shield sprays on easily and dries in less than a minute. And best of all, it stays on until you wash it off. You can power wash it off or use soap and water. Rain, snow or moisture in the air won’t affect it. This product leaves no residue on a vehicle’s paint. Give your vehicle the protection that it deserves with Shield.

I'd try it on the honda before taking it for a spin with the Ferrari, but if it works, GREAT!!

Not sure about the POWER WASHER needed to take it off, that makes me a little nervous.

Griot's Garage has a similar product.

If you have a 308, you'll want to mask those fender louvres. I have a 328 and would be really concerned about getting that stuff anywhere near my cooling fans, headlight mechanisms, etc. Also, as Good Ol' Dave says, power washing an old Ferrari sounds like a Darwin Award kind of idea.

I love the concept -spray it on for freeway trips, peel off later - but not for my 328.

Note that this product does not mention protection against rock chips. I think that's what most of us are looking for, and are thinking it will do by its description as a "bra".

It seems that it only makes it easier to remove road grime and bug splats, which can be done without this product.

Until proven wrong, I say fuggedaboutit!

Hopefully you're not having to endure the twice a year lovebug swarm as we do in the South. If anything can easily remove those things I'd love to know about. Maybe I can "test" Duplicolor's Shield on my G/F's new ute :D

Okay...don't laugh, a good friend of mine used to spray Pam (you know...the anti-stick cooking product) on the nose and rocker panels of his cars before a long trip. It worked great and washed off easily.
