I think the battery in my key fob is nearing the end of it's life. I need to be very close to the car to activate the alarm and sometimes it takes a couple of presses. I removed the single phillips screw but can't get the fob to open. Before I really start prying, is there a trick to opening it up? I am afraid of cracking it. In reading the manual on the alarm system, it recommends changing the remote control battery every 6 months, but does not detail the opening of the fob. Thanks!

    Mine opened up very easy.........

Light prying should do it. I would guess you should change it more often if you use it more often.
