No matter. Plenty of other opportunities.

Wanna get my eye in privately before I show my cards anyway ;) Haven't driven ANY Aussie tracks at any real speed yet. Or any car very fast for ages.

    Beeyatch!

    But yeah!

There's still a MASSIVE case where several people could benefit enormously from investing in some 1 on 1 driver training with our resident Ferrari pro Allan Simonsen. (who just got 2nd in LMGT2 in Jarama despite dud tyres from Pirelli)

MUCH cheaper than hotting up your car, increased safety could save your bones and your dollars...... and transferable to any car!

As you ALL know, I'm a know all.. but I'll not go to my limit until Allan has shown me the right way round each track in my car. Besides, he owes me, but that's not the point!

how many people do you know who "hot up" their ferrari, btw?

of course having tuition helps...but it's a case of diminishing returns.

on a day that i did a 64,2 in my car at calder, fitzy did a 63.8

on a day that jim richards did a 68.2 in my porsche, i did a 68,4 (eventually)

i'm not pro...far from it..but i'm happy with that for now.

err.. you for a start (Suspension/tuning/no cats etc)

and MANY others.. whether it be better brakes, or just an air filter... MANY Ferrari's have been hotted up even slightly in the pursuit of laptime/acceleration...

    stupid point... Any more?

    BS.

Did you tune your car and gain more power than it had when you got it?

    Have you tuned your suspension?

why do you have to be an idiot? tuning what's in my car already is considered hotting up?

Putting in SOFTER springs than it came with is considered hotting up?

crawl back in your hole. you always come out with crap to support your case.

I do not know anyone who'd hot up a road ferrari. apart from SS and tony defelice.

Your car is hotted up, whether you installed the MoTeC or not.

If softer springs make you go faster (in wet) then YES, it is hotted up.

    Your Boxer was hotted up.

There are dozens of hotted up Ferraris in Melbourne.

Ever heard of Tubi? Pirelli Corsa? Hoosier? Brembo? Pagid?...

gees... somebody is an idiot all right

You've descended into malicious name calling... truth hurts?

    ummm....truth hurts??? errrrrrr...ok.

i said i didn't hot up my car. i didn't. do you have a reading problem?

and name calling? well...you know...you make ridiculous assertions and then twist things around to back them up! maybe that doesn't make you an idiot...but it's what sprang to mind at the time.

i still don't get the truth hurts thing, though.

PP and FF please ignore each others posts but from my own perspective hotting UP a car would never include softening the springs.

I'm sure this would have been done to improve the road driving not track response

If I'm hotting UP a car it is by increasing power, beefing UP the suspension, improving brakes, stregthening the chassis and by those definitions a lot of Ferraris have been "hotted up"

Tuning a car so that it is in peak condition is not hotting it up IMHO, that even sounds absurd, so a car that is out of tune is "normal" but keeping it in peak tune is "hotted up" ???

Silly argument guys from two of the smartest car guys I've met

    strike 2
