    so i was out in front of my house in nashville washing my smart car and f355
    i had about 5 people stop and ask me about the smart car, i noticed none of them even looked at the ferrari! what is this all about? i bought the smartcar used on ebay for 1/4 the price of the ferrari.

    I too have a smart and a Fcar(348). But what ever car I drive, I get the looks in my town. But your right, sometimes more with the smart.

    its a great car!

    When I was working for F.A.I.,we were doing emissions work on the Smartcar for G&K conversions.We had a Smartcar mule for development work and we had to put some miles on it.I got to drive it home for weekends or overnight and I got more stares and fingers pointed at, or gawking or rubber necking at it than any car that I have ever driven except for the Lamborgini Countach.I have worked on and driven most Ferrari's,I used to work for a place where we sold and assembled Superformance 427 Cobra copies and have driven numerous other exotic cars .The Smartcar beat them all in appeal but the one.I was once pulling into a supermarket lot when this car with 2 young gals pulled up to me and made me stop.They both jumped out and demanded to look the car over! They claimed that they had been following me for approx.2 miles! true story!

    Seems to me the Smart Car is more cute and it appears women dig it. Frankly, i dig the Smart since first seeing it pre-release when it was called the Swatch car in France. They had a huge billboard-like display in Paris back then

    They are both extreme, and there is appeal in that. The two extremes appeal to different types of people.

    Well they can appeal to the sme person, I actually want both a smart and a 355, but often the different cars appeal to different folks.

    When I was in Italy 2 years ago, I saw my first Smart car and thought it was a great looking urban car.
