I like the idea of a Golden Retriever crossed with a duck; chasing it's own tail would then really mean something.

search "skinny pig", I was with a buddy in a pet store and saw the craziest animal I think i have ever seen, it's a guinea pig that has been genteically engineered to be hairless except on his feet and nose.
