Awesome transitions on the moves...That be cool to learn...I could just be sitting bored in my living room, then just break out a couple backflip kicks, lol....pretty neat.

I've seen his video before and he really is amazing especially for someone his height. This is what martial arts is evolving into, it's called Extreme Martial Arts, something I would love to learn (did 6 years of taekwondo).

But he is not the next Jackie Chan. It is very hard to apply those moves to a fight, Tony Jaa does it very well in The Protector but a regular fight gives you little time to flip like that.

There was a show on tv called The Final Fu and one of the final contestants was an Extreme Martial Artist, in one of his fights he fought someone of another style and lost. Everyone else and himself even admitted it doesn't get you far in a fight.

what makes jackie chan an actor to watch, is he has comic timing in the charlie chaplin kind of way. He acts like a regular guy, when he does something that looks like it is going to hurt, he plays it like it hurts. 'who am i' is one of my favorited &ackie chan movies. Jet li is completely different as well as tony jah. Good fighters not as good actors. chuck norris is too monotone. Jet li doesn't smile enough.

Either way, the movies are scripted. I'm sure the above guys can perform the tasks that Jackie Chan has done. The big thing about when he came out was the fact that he loved doing all his own work. I always like watching his out takes. Some of the stunts hurt, but he insists on doing it until he gets them the way he wants. I would love to see Jackie Chan in a tournament though....Be cool to see his talents in the ring.

i think XMA ruined martial arts -- i _useD_ to compete in traditional tournaments, in the early-mid 90's when XMA was JUST starting to come into competition, i still did extremely well with my traditional forms and won [in my divisions -- i usually did traditional forms, sparring, weapons/weapon forms, and showmanship/creative] many of the big tournaments. I stopped training and competing in about '01 when XMA took over.

    ive trained in:

-Shotokan/Shorin-Ryu [did it for about 8 years -- 2nd Dan]
    -Aikido
-Kendo [just started, but i haven't got much time -- still got the gear, but I've gotta find a better place to train]
    -Olympic TKD [not much]

Final Fu was a joke, and the only person i remembered competing with and seeing a lot at tournaments was that girl, Gemma Nguyen -- I believe she was on the Team Paul Mitchell demo team back then -- almost got sponsored by them for competition [but not for the demo team].

They may have written it poorly or done a half ass job on events. But I asure you, these were some of the countries top competitors. My friend, Abe Tran was in the last group on the show. He was the world champion a few years ago and has been nationally ranked since, not someone you would normally want to mess with. If you find the website, you can look at all their profiles and see what they have done.
