Should anyone be surprised by this??? The guy needs professional help not $10M bonuses. Similiar behavior as Dennis Rodman, look at him now!

People shouldn't be suprised if T.O. did in fact try to kill himself. All the signs have been there for many years. He has broken down for no appearant reason quite a few times over the years. He often wouldn't think rationally. His selfish behavior suggested he was living in a fantasy world where everything revolved around him. His behavior often reminded me of the way Dennis Rodman acted in the past. Hopefully he will get some help and get better. I am guessing he won't though.

T.O. is a FRAUD! He's just pulling this little stunt to further avoid having to play in any more games without losing pay. If he was truly serious, then he'd off himself with a handgun. =p

I don't know much about T.O.'s reported suicide attempt, but this statement is moronic at best.

Life is always worth living, even when it becomes unbearable....

Yes, life becomes truly unbearable when you're facing the thought of having to live with a 3-year, 25 million dollar contract!!

    ...Give me a break.

The amount of money someone has is no indication of their true quality of life. I've know a lot of very un-happy rich people.

Very true. And it may not be his surroundings or environment that caused this. It could be chemical. I don't know the personal physiology of T.O. but he may have a severe lack of dopomine, serotonin etc. that has triggered this manic depressive cycle.

O wait, that can't be it. Tom Cruise says those things don't exist. Never mind. Just tell T.O. to eat better and exercise more. And giving a million to the cult of scientology might help him too.

Why do some people continue to miss great opportunities to shut up?

I'm not a fan of TO's antics, but wishing death upon him is about as low-class as it gets in my opinion.

it's doubtful Jerry Jones will let him SIT OUT w/ PAY if this is self-inflicted.

There was a very good article in last Sunday's NYT that thoroughly explored why rich people so often lose everything including their minds. People that win, inherit, marry into or otherwise did very little for their fninancial windfall (sports and actors) rarely survive with it all intact.

like I posted in the TX forum; rich, successful, gets paid to play a game, gets everything handed to him, yeah I can see how life wouldn't be worth living.....

Why do so many people keep equating wealth with happiness? I just don't get it.

I think a lot of people confuse *Quality of Life* with *Standard of Living.*

Some would not agree. The Buddha gave up all he had in order to find happiness. It is our posessions that posess us. It was only in poverty, that he was able to be enlightened. For some, it is the ultimate gift. I find these Eastern philosophies to be very interesting. I am a big fan of Buddhism and of his Holiness the Dalai Llama.

Some didn't grow up in a trailer park. There's nothing noble about being broke.

Feel free to donate to me... Money doesn't buy happiness, but if giving it away will make you happy, it would be wrong of me not to help you.

As I am in a generous mood, I'll extend this offer to others as well!

No thankfully I was the product of parents who never let that happen to themselves or to me. However, the Buddha and his followers went through a lot worse than a trailer park. Ofcourse this was of their own choice. They were fortunate enough to not be born into such misery.
