I agree with Martin. I've loaded and unloaded many Ferrari's in and out of my trailers transporting them to and from racetracks and shops. I have bottomed out more than one Ferrari loading and unloading them. These are racecars but it DOES happen no matter how much you try to prevent it. I also had a front splitter come off of a 348 while loading it onto a customers trailer for transport down to Florida...what did I do? I fixed it for the customer. He watched it happen and I felt awful but nonetheless it happened and I took measures for it not to occur. At the end of the day, IT IS JUST A CAR and can be fixed. There are so many worse things in life. Sometimes you can do almost everything to prevent something, but accidents and small incidents occur and you'll realize sooner or later that it isn't the end of the world. If you died tomorrow, would your family give a sh*t about a tiny scratch on the bumper of your car??? Again, not taking sides here...just my humble opinion.

Well said, I couldn't agree more. It happened and you fixed it. I believe LRC is just looking for accountability from someone, like the way you handled it. Yes "stuff happens", it always helps when someone steps up to what they did. This trainwreck should of never happened.

 

Keep coming up with great idea's like that and you're sure to make executive producer.

 

The way I read it - LRC was looking for $2500 from Daniel - not just accountability. And, BTW, he wasn't being very nice about it - at least not by the time he started posting here.

An unknown driver, with unknown driving ability and unknown driving aggressions, drove my f512M for 98 miles while it was under contract (which included delivery) with Euro Motorsports. While a disturbing number of F-Chat posters seem to believe it is NO BIG DEAL for someone to take a vehicle that doesn't belong to them and drive it in whatever manner they please for 98 miles, this is lunacy. The additional undercarriage damage it arrived with doesn't suggest that whoever drove it felt obligated to treat it respectfully while it was in their possession. An inexperienced or aggressive driver could certainly do many thousands of dollars in mechanical damage alone in 98 miles. And, when the damage does become apparent, who's left holding the bag? Say it ends up with clutch damage - price tag on that, anyone?

Obviously, no one here other than dan was present for my initial phone conversations with Euro Motorsports back in August as this all transpired. But, let me assure you, I was VERY nice to Euro Motorsports. I honestly believed them when they said they would get to the bottom of it. I assumed the Euro Motorsports would go to bat for their customer - if only because they had a contractual obligation to do so. But, as week, after week, after week went by and the evidence Euro Motorsports claimed they would send me never arrived, I did grow more suspicious, more upset and more determined to get to the bottom of this myself. And, as Euro Motorsports realized that I wasn't willing to have this problem dismissed, their attitude changed as well. The attitude I've been given by Euro Motorsports has been summarized by their employee, daniel, who tells me, "Get over it for crying out loud. Literally!!"

FACT: Euro Motorsports sold me a vehicle @23,533 miles
FACT: Euro Motorsports' transporter delivered the vehicle @23,631 miles
FACT: Euro Motorsports has given me the run around as evidenced by their:
1. Not questioning their transporter
2. Not delivering the tape of the car as they promised
3. Assuming no responsibility for problems after the sale
4. Continuing to waste time "proving" that Euro Motorsports did not drive the 98 miles by posting random still shots of the car - shots inconsistent with what their employee claimed would be posted.
5. This same employee now insists, after posting this "proof", that he is NOT alleging that the transporter drove the 98 miles.

The questions remain:
1. Who do they think put the 98 miles on their customer's car prior to delivery?
2. Does the identity of the driver alter Euro Motorsports responsibility?
3. What should Euro Motorsports do about it?


The problem needs a solution so that we can all get on with our lives (sorry, Scottie & BT)

When the truck arrived did you check the mileage and have the driver make a note of it on his delivery form?

 

I was able to keep dual citizenship.

 

Video shots were posted. lrc denies they prove anything (see his points #4 & #5). Everything else is a reiteration of what's gone on before.

lrc - this is an enthusiast forum, not a court. You've had your say, we've given you our opinions. Whether you think they are "disturbing" or not is your problem, not ours. We are under no obligation to let you use this forum for a vendetta. I suggest you talk to your lawyer if you want to pursue your complaints against Euro further and that you do so privately.
